CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #051 -- Arabic Parts in Matters of Love Part 2
February 21, 2009
Hi

We noticed that some e-mail clients do not print our Love Letter as nicely as should be. It seems to happen that our text and sentences are just a continuous flow of words without breaks or paragraphs... However, all our Love Letters are written with as much "space" (paragraphs) as possible to increase the readability on screen.

From now on, we will manually add some extra HTML-breaks in the layout to make sure all e-mail clients print our Love Letters in a readable way.

If you're one of the subscribers who still encounter readability problems with this current issue, let us know (just hit reply and share the issues).

In the second part of our series about the Arabic Parts, we discuss some important principles to take into account when using the Parts.

Also, we thought we'd let you know some in-between results from our continuing research projects. We already gathered 834 data of solar return charts calculated for the year in which women gave birth to a child. As could be expected with such a lot of new data, the outcome of our previous preliminary results changed. Find out below what has changed since...

Love. Always.
Luc De Jaeger

Love Forecasts for March 2009

Mercury conjuncts Mars around March 2 at 19° Aquarius, increasing "feverish" situations. Things have to be handled with some urgency. However, don't rush anything. There may be lots of conversations, arguments and even disputes. Mind your words.

Around March 5, Mercury conjuncts Neptune at 24° Aquarius increasing confusion and nebulous situations. You can't think and see clear in some situations. Uncertainty rules.

The first days of March can bring harsh disputes as well as flu-like symptoms, especially if you're born around February 9-13, May 11-16, August 13-18 and November 13-17.

Venus stations at 15° Aries around March 6 and turns retrograde. It's time to reconsider your passions. Is this love? It would be unwise to propose during the station. You better wait till Venus turns direct again around April 17.

Retrograde Venus is not that much into love, encounters and socializing. It rather works on an inner creative level and lives more in the material world. It's time to awake the artist in you!

Around March 8, Mars conjuncts Neptune at 24° Aquarius while the Sun at 18° Pisces is opposite Saturn at 18° Virgo. This is not too good a condition health-wise. There are obstacles to overcome.

Your accomplishments are below par, the more so if you are born around January 9 and 14, February 7 and 13, March 9 and 15, April 8 and 14, May 9 and 15, June 9 and 15, July 11 and 17, August 11 and 17, September 11 and 17, October 12 and 18, November 10 and 16, December 10 and 16.

Around March 13, the Sun conjoins Uranus at 22° Pisces making you feel liberated and free (again). You tend to go your own way.

Mars enters compassionate Pisces around March 15. Fiery Mars does not feel too well in watery Pisces. Take care not to waste your energy. You tend to work best behind the scenes and help others in need.

Mercury at 17° Pisces opposes Saturn at 17° Virgo around March 19, just before the Sun enters Aries around March 20.

Expect stress, sad news and/or (forced) separations when the Sun enters Aries.

Around March 22, Mercury conjuncts Uranus at 23° Pisces bringing insight and help. There may be breaking news in the air.

The Sun at 3° Aries squares Pluto at 3° Capricorn around March 23, bringing power struggles. You seem to fight your way through these days...

Mercury enters Aries around March 25, so now's the time to tell what's on your mind.

Mercury squares Pluto at 3° Aries around March 27 at the same time the Sun conjoins Venus at 7° Aries. Something's on your mind and you can't get rid of it. Venus at the heart of the Sun cannot say "no." Perhaps that's what bothers you...

Around March 29, Mercury and Venus conjoin at 6° Aries making for some very enjoyable talks. Send gifts and love letters.

The Sun and Mercury meet each other at 10° Aries around March 31, opening the way to gossip and a talkative mood.

Arabic Parts in Matters of Love Part 2

In the 1st part of this series we discussed what Arabic (or Arabian) Parts are and how to calculate them. This time we'll delve deeper into some basic principles to keep into account when using the Arabic Parts.

If you use (some) Arabic Parts take notice of the following:
  • always recalculate the Parts again when using a horoscope. If you use it in the natal chart and want to use it in the solar returns, progressed charts, directed charts etc... always recalculate the Part again in the new horoscope. So, don't progress the natal Part (you can do so but the results will not be very significant and satisfactory).
  • NEVER exceed the 1° orb. Actually, we strongly recommend keeping orbs VERY tight and in our work, we'll most of all use EXACT aspects (orb 0° 00' - 0°01'). We consider it irresponsible to use orbs wider than 1° and do not understand astrologers who base so-called empirical research on the use of orbs as wide as many degrees.

You can prove anything when using wider orbs (larger than 1°) and that's definitely not what we want to!

In matters of love and the heart, the Part of Marriage (Ascendant + Descendant - Venus) is most valid an indicator of one's marriage.

We recommend you use it when calculating solar return charts and progressed charts (using the key "1 day after birth = 1 year after birth") to find out when you or someone else might marry.

The Part of Marriage should EXACTLY aspect a personal point (Ascendant, MC, Sun, Moon, AS/MC midpoint, Sun/Moon midpoint, ruler of the 1st house or the ruler of the 7th house). It may also aspect the Part of Self (P1) or the Part of the Other (P7).

Let's take a look at some random examples found in solar return charts:

  • Angelina Jolie married on March 28, 1996 and another time on May 5, 2000. She's born June 4, 1975 at 09:09 am PDT in Los Angeles, CA/USA.
    • In the solar return chart for her 1996 marriage we find the Part of Marriage at 14°23 Sagittarius EXACTLY opposite the ruler of the 1st (and 5th) house at 14°31 Gemini.
    • In the solar return chart for her 2000 marriage we find the Part of Marriage at 18°52 Virgo EXACTLY opposite P1 (the Part of Self) at 18°52 Pisces.
  • Paul Newman married on January 29, 1958. He's born January 26, 1925 at 06:30 am EST in Cleveland, OH/USA.
    • In the solar return chart for his marriage we find the Part of Marriage at 21°21 Gemini EXACTLY opposite the ruler of the 1st house at 22°07 Sagittarius. (Not sure if his time of birth is exact to the minute, it may be a off for a minute or so).
  • Bill Clinton married on October 11, 1975. He's born August 19, 1946 at 08:51 am in Hope, Arkansas/USA.
    • In the solar return chart for his marriage we find the Part of Marriage at 29°24 Aries EXACTLY opposite P1 (the Part of Self) at 29°24 Libra.
Mind though! You should (and will!) ALWAYS find additional configurations in the charts, confirming the meaning of the Arabian Part(s). If you find a combination of the above mentioned Arabian Parts in a horoscope, you should also look for other configurations (midpoints, degree areas,...) that confirm the signification of the Arabian Parts used.

A single (astrological) condition as such is NEVER a proof that an event will take place. Events manifest when different (and often many) astrological conditions and indications are found in the horoscopes.

In case you do not find any other (simple) configuration or condition confirming the meaning of the Arabian Part(s), it (they) will not work out (yet).

We recall that an Arabian Part is an algebraic formula that is always present somewhere in the horoscope. You can calculate hundreds, even thousands of such formulas and planetary pictures and combinations. As such, they do not manifest, except when "triggered", activated by the above mentioned personal points (we refer to the text in bold and purple).

Childbirth in solar returns -- Update

In Issue 27 of our monthly Love Letter, published on February 21, 2007, we discussed the preliminary statistical findings we found in 459 female solar return charts, calculated for the year in which they gave birth to a child.

Some very significant astrological conditions were found in this first trial. Because we wanted a much larger database to build astrological signatures on, we have been continuously adding new data to our database and have now reached 834 data.

To find reliable data and to feed our database is a most time-consuming work but with almost 400 new data, we wanted to analyze our database again.

Some new preliminary but important results making their way up the Chi squares:
  • Sun square Ascendant (orb 1°) (Chi square 36.0)
  • Sun/Moon midpoint conjunct the mean Moon's Node (orb 1°) (Chi square 24.5)
  • Pallas trine the Ascendant (orb 1°) (Chi square 17.3)
  • Moon contra-parallel Uranus (orb 1°) (Chi square 13.5)
  • the Ascendant between 4°-6° Sagittarius (Chi Square 13.5)
  • Uranus sextile the 5th house cusp (Topocentric houses, orb 1°) (Chi square 12.5)
  • Jupiter conjunct the MC (orb 1°) (Chi square 12.3)
  • Mars conjunct the IC (orb 1°) (Chi square 12.0)
  • the MC sextile Pars Fortuna (change for day and night) (orb 1°) (Chi square 9.8)
  • Venus conjunct the MC (orb 1°) (Chi square 9.0)
  • Cupido (the TNP, not the asteroid) trine the Ascendant (orb 1°) (Chi square 9.0)
