CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #057 -- Planets in the 7th House

We are slowly going to change some of the (free) services we provide on our web site.

Since 2003, the year we launched our web site, we aim to publish reliable and well-researched astrological methods on our web site and try to deliver as much free and reliable astrological services as possible. Almost all our free services are NOT automated, meaning that all requests are handled by a human being (from the input of the birth information in some software to the output in pdf-files, to sending the document(s) to the customer).

Ten thousands and ten thousands of customers have been helped since. Unfortunately, we are becoming the victim of our own success because the requests for our free services are really totally overwhelming -- so much so that it almost becomes a full-time job to handle the requests in time.

Clearly, this is a situation that cannot go on for ever, especially not when our other aim of publishing reliable and well- researched methods on our web site gets on the second plan. We don't want it that way.

That's why we are slowly doing some adjustments:

  • When we find reliable online sources of services that we too provide, we will discontinue our services and (re)direct or link to the other online provider(s). In case we can't find any other reliable source, you will still be able to order the report or document or service from us
  • we will spend more time in writing articles, researching and publishing the results on our web site. So, instead of providing free services, we'd like to provide yet more free information.
  • we no longer will send personal "thank you" e-mails or e-mails re the feedback we receive for the services we provide because it's so very time-consuming to respond to all these incoming e-mails.
  • we are going to change the look and feel of our web site to make it more appealing, more usable on larger monitors and more user-friendly. This will take some time and work though and we don't expect the results to be seen this year. Stay tuned.

Love Forecasts for September 2009

If you are born around March 27-28, May 30-31, August 1-2 or December 1-2, you may feel ill around September 1-2.

Around September 3, Mercury at 5° Libra squares Mars at 5° Cancer resulting in some emotional arguments and disputes that have to be settled. There's a lot of talks going on and it's best to mind your words carefully.

Around September 5, there is reclusion, someone is absent or you may experience something otherworldly with others. This is especially so if you're born around March 3, June 3, September 5 or December 4.

Mercury at 6° Libra stations around September 7 and turns back, re-thinking, re-considering, re-evaluating relationships and agreements. You need time to think it over and it's not wise to propose just now. Wait till the end of the month when Mercury turns direct again.

Around September 11, Pluto at 0° Capricorn stations to turn direct while Venus at 18° Leo opposes Jupiter at 18° Aquarius. Around these days, you can live fabulous and otherworldly intense moments that may mark a mile-stone in your life. Enjoy the pleasure.

Pluto at the beginning of Capricorn, a governmental degree, brings the power of the state (and celebrities) to the foreground. Keep an eye on life-changing events related to men of importance.

Also, Pluto's position will, once more, bring severe financial issues. Expect public services, administrations and governments to change substantially.

Around September 12-13 there is a lot of (artistic) creativity in the air and the atmosphere is right for romance. Enjoy these days, especially if you are born around February 9-12, May 11-13, August 13-16 or November 12-15.

Be in for a surprise around September 15 when Saturn at 24° Virgo opposes Uranus at 24° Pisces. There is separation and love's sorrow in the air, the more so because Venus at 24° Leo opposes Neptune at 24° Aquarius at the same moment. If you are born around January 14-15, February 12-13, March 14-15, April 14, May 14-15, June 15-16, July 16-17, August 17, September 16-17, October 17-18, November 16-17 or December 16 you will feel this horrible influence deeply till September 18.

Around September 17, the Sun conjoins Saturn at 24° Virgo and opposes Uranus at 24° Pisces adding to the sudden turn of events and upsetting harmony and peace.

Mercury enters its own sign Virgo again around September 18 and will trigger a whole planetary configuration that is related to research, solving severe problems and a very restless mood. Anyway, there is a solution that will be found around September 20. This configuration will affect you if you are born around March 18, June 19, September 20 or December 19.

Venus too enters Virgo around September 20, the sign of its fall. You tend to become quite fault-finding with your lover and may feel that you are not perfect enough for love. You'll need more approval anyway.

Mercury conjuncts Saturn at 25° Virgo, demanding some serious and meticulous work around September 22. At the same day, the Sun enters Libra making for some new relationship experiences.

Power struggles arise around September 23 when the Sun at 0° Libra squares Pluto at 0° Capricorn. It's a day of stress and tension that will ease around September 25 when sudden actions and initiatives bring relief and happiness in love (even if you stay at home!).

Around September 28, there will be artistic and creative moments that you will value, especially if you are born around March 27-28, May 30-31, August 1-2 or December 1-2. Make it cozy.

Around September 29, Mercury at 21° Virgo stations for another time this month and turns direct. Now you can make up your mind and communicate your findings openly.

What's New on Our Web Site?

We have done some background updates. Most importantly, we changed the texts of our Thank you pages, autoresponders and e-mail notifications to let the buyers know that we no longer send personal e-mails in case we receive feedback. Instead we can spend our time in writing articles and doing research.

Planets in the 7th House

In astrology, the 7th house (opposite the 1st house) in your natal chart represents everything and everyone that is outside of yourself. It's a cardinal air house denoting that it's about (superficial) encounters, meetings and interaction with the outer world (at large), with the public.

Because of the air element, it's about communication, exchange of thoughts and ideas and all kinds of interactions. Because it's a cardinal house, it's also about (im)pulses and initiating urges.

In the 7th house, we find the impulse to meet and encounter the outer world. The 7th house is about socializing, about the people we live with, the "others" we meet (clients, vendors, people in the street,...).

Because of the polarity with the 1st house (representing your own self), it also relates to what attracts you or whom you are attracted to. It's also about your "significant other" as a person and being.

It's not really about marriages. In our opinion, marriage is part of the whole 3rd Quadrant (houses 7, 8 and 9). Why? Because:
* in the 7th house, you just meet/encounter the other (the cardinal principle).
* in the 8th house you bond with the other (it's a fixed water house, representing emotional connections and bonds) (the fixed principle).
* in the 9th house you make the bond and "the other" public (mutable houses spread and become visible) (the mutable principle).

The sign(s) on the cusp and in the 7th house describe these other people and situations you are attracted to. The planets in the 7th house, which we want to delineate now, reveal yet more about the other(s). We only list the planets separately. In case two or more planets reside in the 7th house, the meaning can alter substantially (in our opinion, you CANNOT blend the meaning of the individual delineations as such (the outcome seems to be more than the sum of the parts)). It seems that stelliums or multiple conjunctions in the 7th house have their own meaning which still needs further research!


the Sun in the 7th House
  • The Sun represents your ego and physical body. You want that the outer world sees you physically.
  • you want to get noticed physically
  • other persons (or your significant other) are related to mile stones in your life that raise creativity and more self-expression.
  • you tend to attract (male) persons of authority
  • relationships become a focal point in life

The Moon in the 7th House

  • you crave meetings and encounters
  • you are attracted to sensitive people who, quite often, love children
  • there is no real stability in meeting people (people come and go) but encounters are quite cyclic (you meet the same person again after some time, often following a certain cycle).
  • you tend to attract moody people
  • you may be attracted to children and/or childish people
  • you tend to talk to your partner as if you talk to a child (childish, with diminutives and often degrading the other)
  • there is some calculation in everything you do

Mercury in the 7th House

  • you need a public to talk to, to communicate with
  • you need a mental and intellectual relationship
  • you are attracted to (much) younger people and/or slim people
  • you love poetry, writings etc...
  • relationships tend to be full of opportunism and are often a calculated act

Venus in the 7th House

  • you need aesthetically pleasing people full of charm
  • you cannot live without people in your environment
  • you tend to be attracted to rather passive (lazy?) people who cannot stand a fight or argument
  • you love multi-tasking because it makes you feel less lonely
  • because Venus cannot stand arguments, chances are that differences in this relationship are not spoken out, resulting in miscommunication and dissatisfaction in the long run
  • you need a partner to shine

Mars in the 7th House

  • you always tend to blame the other, the outer world for everything that does not go as you wish for
  • you need an argument with the other as part of your competitive nature
  • the other person, the outer world acts too much on impulses

Jupiter in the 7th House

  • you are attracted to wise and insightful people
  • you have a very idealistic view of others
  • you expect a lot of the other(s)
  • you need a dynamic relationship to feel happy
  • you need humorous people in your environment
  • you tolerate that others are differently
  • in some cases, Jupiter here brings different marriages
  • you are always on the ready to give (unsollicited) advice which can be annoying at times

Saturn in the 7th House

  • you are attracted to older people
  • you should never marry when young because Saturn will bring a bitter divorce then
  • you tend to live alone later on in life
  • love is at a distance or not available (for whatever reason: the other is married, lives abroad, travels or works a lot,...)
  • relationships are measured by the norm in society and are very much influenced by it
  • you tend to be very cautious and hesitant towards other people
  • you set limits to others

Uranus in the 7th House

  • you are attracted to uncoventional, intellectual people
  • you want to live according to YOUR own conditions and rules, making living under one roof with someone else not easy
  • often, there is a remarkable difference in age or social background with the other person
  • you tend to love someone at a distance, who is out of reach or who is unavailable
  • you are not easy to catch in matters of love (especially not when emotions get involved)

Neptune in the 7th House

  • you seldom see "the other(s)" as is
  • you tend to merge too soon with "the other"
  • you tend to become too personal (and intimate) with others too soon and know no limits
  • you can be overwhelmed
  • you tend to believe in fairy-tales
  • you eternally long for an ideal and imaginative person making you easily dissatisfied with the ones you live with or encounter in reality
  • the other person lives isolated, in reclusion,...
  • you should not marry before your personal Saturn return (not before the age of 28-29) because Neptune here tends to dissolve any relationship

Pluto in the 7th House

  • you are attracted to very complicated people
  • relationships are very emotional experiences, intense, and can be a real challenge
  • you are too extreme, black-and-white, in your dealings with others
  • some encounters can have a real immense impact on your life, close to obsessions
  • very often, you are rejected in matters of love
  • you and your significant other tend to live in an isolated world in a very close bond (often resulting in co-dependency)
  • your expectations re relationships are unrealistically high, resulting in dissatisfaction
  • you want to be the perfect partner, so much so that kind of some (subconscious) self-destructive behavior is noticeable

Moon's Node in the 7th House

  • often, you are married twice
  • you need to learn to take into account the urges and drives of the other
