CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #062 -- Venus Mars Connections
January 21, 2010
Hi

We finally published the 2010 forecasts for the 12 zodiac signs on our web site. The featured article in this Love Letter is about an important part of horoscope delineation: finding planetary analogies or connections. They do mark the native or the event. How to spot these analogies or connections is, hopefully, made simple in our article in which we delve deeper into the Venus-Mars analogies or connections.

Enjoy a cozy Valentine's Day!

Love Forecasts for February 2010

If you are born around May 10, August 12, November 11-12 or February 8, this month of February 2010 starts with love at a distance which troubles you a lot, especially around February 3. It's kind of a tragic love. Also, there is hard work awaiting for you around February 8.

Around the same day of February 8, Venus, Chiron and Neptune conjoin at 25° Aquarius. Love's sorrow is in the air and sadness surrounds beloved ones. Also, disappointments in love happen now as well as (physical) injuries (especially burns with Venus in this position!). So, be careful.

Mercury enters independent and mental Aquarius around February 10 denoting an increased interest in trying out new ideas and in social interactions and groups. Discussions in or among groups is not uncommon during this transit.

However, if you are born around January 20-21, April 20-21, July 23-24 or October 23-24, secrets keep your interest and, eventually, lots of unfruitful thinking or projects that cannot be finished. There might be lots of daydreaming instead.

Venus enters compassionate and creative Pisces around February 11. Visit a beautiful and harmonious environment or make it cozy.

February 13 may bring disputes and arguments when Mercury at 4° Aquarius opposes Mars at 4° Leo. Divorces are likely under this transit as well as legal issues that pop up. Expect lots of harsh arguments but also a solution the day after, around February 14 on Valentine's day.

The Sun conjuncts Neptune at 26° Aquarius around February 15. Disappointments and losses are likely to happen around this conjunction.

Fortuna minor (Venus) and Fortuna major (Jupiter) conjunct each other at 6° Pisces around February 17. If you are born around February 25, June 28 or October 30 you will feel blessed with lots of pleasant surprises, joyful events and gifts or presents. Surprise each other. This conjunction makes you very popular in many ways! If you are born around December 28, January 26, March 27, April 27, May 28, July 29, August 29, September 29 or November 29, you will feel the positive energies too, but too a lesser extent. Expect some windfalls. Be sociable and share your love.

The Sun enters Pisces too around February 18 making for a stellium in the zodiac sign Pisces (there are 4 bodies in Pisces now). However, Pisces is also about letting go and sacrifices. It increases spiritual events. Indeed, this stellium is a spiritual one but also a harmonious one of kindness, balance and joy. It increases your popularity if you are born between February 19 - March 1, April 20 - May 1, June 21 - July 3 or October 23 - November 3 or December 22 - January 1. There are (financial) windfalls, optimism and happiness around.

If you are born around March 1, June 1, September 3 or December 3, there is lots of imagination and fantasy around February 20. Also, some unexpected exciting events may occur. Be creative and imaginative. It's a very spiritual day too which may bring you new insight in life and the world. If you are born around February 4, May 6, August 8 or November 8, this day will bring tension and news about a sudden death or separation that will be talked about a lot. You will have to (learn to) let go...

If you are born around March 5-6, June 5-6, September 7-8 or December 7-8, there is love's sorrow around February 23. It's a tearful day that will last some time.

The Full Moon on February 28 brings new hope and optimism when the Sun also conjuncts Jupiter at 9° Pisces. It's a very creative day. Decorate your home, do some home improvements or just stay home and make it cosy if you are born around March 12, June 13, September 14 or December 14.

BRThe Full Moon on February 28 brings new hope and optimism when the Sun also conjuncts Jupiter at 9

What's New on Our Web Site?

These are the updates and changes we made since our previous Love Letter:
  • there is an additional list of Moon VOC dates till 2019 free for download on our dating page
  • we updated the footer of almost all our pages
  • we updated the astrological signs of cheating men with new research results after feeding our database with new reliable birth information of male cheaters. The Moon in Aries is on the rise in importance. It has been an important factor from the beginning when we started our research, but even now after adding new birth information, the importance cannot be neglected any longer. The Moon in this position is too inflammable and gone by primary impulses and urges that it should not really wonder that if there are no aspects to counter this behavior, infidelity may easily occur. Mind though, we are NOT saying that every man with the Moon in Aries is unfaithful! It's just a big red flag that urges to look for other factors and confirmation.

Also, there are some other factors on the rise that we will monitor closely when updating our database when new information is added again: the Sun in Libra. Also, Venus in the 4th Quadrant (houses 10, 11 and 12) is climbing in the Chi square ranking.

Venus Mars Connections

In the early 80s a "new" approach of assessing major themes in a natal chart saw the light by the "invention" of the so-called "ZIP Code." It was a method invented by Dr. Zipporah Dobyns (hence the name "ZIP Code") and further propagated by her daughter, Maritha Pottenger, that made use of the so-called astrological alphabet.

The concept of the astrological alphabet is that astrology deals with twelve basic ways of being, twelve human drives and modes of operation that are all needed in this world. These twelve sides of life are mirrored in the natal chart by a planet, a house and a sign.

So it is in the astrological alphabet that Mars, the 1st house and Aries all share the same principles (though they are NOT the same!). Venus, the 2nd house and Taurus also share the same principles and this goes on for the other planets, signs and houses.

What the theory of the ZIP Code or astrological alphabet presents is that certain groups of planet/house/sign combinations share similar themes.

For example: Mars in Libra or Mars in the 7th house share the same principles. The 7th house is in mundane astrology a Libra house (wathever zodiac sign is on the cusp of the 7th house in the natal chart).

This system has been enhanced by German astrologers who developed their own system based on the same principles but they converted the signs and houses to their respective planetary rulers.

For example: Mars in Libra becomes a Mars/Venus theme because Venus always rules Libra. Mars in the 7th house too becomes a Mars/Venus theme because the 7th house is associated with Libra, which is ruled by Venus in mundane astrology. Also, the ruler of the 1st house (in mundane astrology ruled by Mars because Mars always rules Aries and Aries is always the 1st sign in the natural order of the zodiac) in the 2nd house (in mundane astrology ruled by Venus as the ruler of Taurus) is another Venus-Mars analogy.

The more we find such analogies, themes or connections between two planets, the more this planetary combination becomes an important part of the natal chart and the life of the native.

To find out the connections or analogies between planets, we take especially into account:
  • planets in signs
  • planets in houses
  • the aspects between planets (the tighter the stronger)
  • the rulerships
  • solstice points
Planets in houses are more important and powerful than the planets in the signs because they work on a more personal and individual level (we use the Topocentric house system which gives almost the same results as the Placidus house system).

When do we have a Venus Mars connection, theme or analogy?

In most cases, the following configuartions are used (there are more though (!) but this would lead us too far and make it more complicated than necessary):
  • Venus in the 1st house
  • Mars in the 2nd or the 7th house
  • the ruler of the 1st house in the 7th house
  • the ruler of the 7th house in the 1st house
  • the ruler of the 2nd house in the 1st house
  • the ruler of the 1st house in the 2nd house
  • Venus in a close conjunction, square or opposition with Mars (eventually, a close sextile or trine counts too but in a minor way)
  • Venus at the solstice point of Mars
  • Mars in Libra or Taurus
  • Venus in Aries
When at least three of the above listed analogies or connecties can be found in the natal chart, we have a very powerful Venus Mars connection that will be felt and noticed in the character and life of the native.

What does the Venus Mars connection signify?

The Venus Mars connection or analogy is associated with two opposite forces or energies; the male and female one. When such two opposite forces meet in the natal chart, we get kind of a short-circuit! It raises questions and issues about distance or closeness, about peace or war, about meeting/relating or going one's own way, about the urges of the own self or the urges of the other, about the ME or the YOU.

People who have this connection or analogy strong in their natal chart love (and need) a fight! This connection needs tension to live, otherwise there is a complete standstill. There is often exaggeration in what they do and some mishaps or accidents happen. There is something rigid in their behavior or way of walking/handling things.

Empirical research has shown that this connection is often found in natal charts of first borns or natives who have no siblings or who have siblings of the other gender and thus have a solitary position among their siblings.

In relationships, especially in love unions, it brings conflicts and clashes, confrontations. It's not a connection of balance, ease or coziness! One needs passion and some irritation (teasing will do). Without erotic tension and some teasing, a love relationship with the native will not survive.
