CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #146 -- Update: Marriage in Female Solar Returns
January 21, 2017
Dear

As promised, we finished the 2017 forecasts for the 12 zodiac signs.

The link to access the forecasts can be found below under the What's New on Our Web Site section.

We introduced a more convenient way to show the forecasts by incorporating some plain and simple HTML5 tags that allow you to toggle between "show and hide the detailed forecasts."

No fancy javascripts or CSS though but hopefully clear enough to find out that the text beside the arrows is clickable.

This way, we hope to make it easier to read the forecasts.

We also incorporated the tooltips for additional astrological information for those interested in some astrological background and reasoning.

This month, our featured article is about the latest update on our research regarding marriage in the solar return charts of women.

Our database now contains 270 female solar return charts for the year of their marriage (instead of 94 since our very first research).

Interestingly, some of the astrological configurations we published on our web site are confirmed and remain statistically significant.

Still, 270 solar returns is not enough to build a theory but we're making some progress here.

Love. Always.

Love Forecasts for February 2017

(slowly hover over a paragraph with the mouse and wait a second for additional astrological information)

Click here to download the February 2017 calendar in pdf format.

In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around February 1, February 7-8, February 14, February 21-22 and/or February 28.

During this month of January, the following planetary configuration will affect some birthdays in particular:
  • If you are born around January 10, February 23-24, April 9-10, May 26, July 12, August 28, October 13-14 or November 27, this month of February is likely to bring fortunate developments and successes.

You are able to attain some personal recognition.

  • If you are born around February 5, March 22, May 7, June 23, August 9, September 25, November 9 or December 23, this month of February is about expenses (purchases or financial losses).

Also, make sure your vision and dreams still follow realistic paths because you tend to daydream more.

Avoid speculations or spendthrift and be responsible.

  • If you are born around January 12, February 25, April 12, May 28, July 14, August 30, October 15 or November 29, this month brings relief and changes in outlook or views.

You may feel more optimistic and enjoy blissful moments.

  • If you are born around February 11, March 28, May 13, June 29, August 15-16, October 1, November 15 or December 29, this month of February indicates (a) fortunate change(s) and progress.

It looks like you found a key to unlock a door and something starts to bloom.

  • If you are born around February 13, March 30, May 15, July 1, August 17, October 2, November 16 or December 31, changes await you.

For some of you, there is a change of residence or there can be lots of changes of the place (like when traveling) but for others a career change may be the outcome.

It's a time for study as well.

Periodically, you may be dissatisfied and/or feel some health issues though.

  • If you are born around January 18, March 3, April 18, June 3, July 21, September 5-6, October 21 or December 5 this month brings changes, stress and nervous tension in your relationships or partnerships (in the widest sense).
Generally speaking and on a mundane level, February 2017 is still marked by the wide T-square in Cardinal signs between Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in which Pluto in Capricorn is the apex body.

Though never exact, this T-square will be triggered on different occasions but especially late February.

We discussed this astrological configuration already in our December 2016 forecast and won't repeat the meaning here again.

So, let's focus on what the month has in store.

Around February 1 Mercury at 21° Capricorn squares Uranus at 21° Aries.

This waning square suggests misunderstandings and miscommunication.

Your plans and expectations are thwarted unexpectedly, which creates nervous tension and stress.

Also, some urgency sets in and may bring additional stress.

Expect disagreements as well.

In mundane astrology, the Mercury-Uranus square may indicate (air) traffic accidents and/or increased chaos in matters of traffic and transportation.

Around the same day of February 1-2 there is the uncovering of fraud and/or secrecies.

There is increased insight in deceit, secret and/or unlawful affairs.

Mercury at 23° Capricorn squares Jupiter at 23° Libra around February 2 indicating ballooning and bold statements or claims.

News and/or information is tendentious around these early February days.

Sociable Venus enters Aries, the sign of its detriment around February 3.

With both Venus and Mars in fiery and passionate Aries, the (love) life of most fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) and the air sign Libra may blossom.

In this position, Venus indicates the need to escape reality and the pressures of living by using music, art and/or drugs.

There is an increased need for peaceful people and pleasant surroundings also.

Some of you may feel helpless about not being able to change society or regain lost love.

In some instances we have noticed that the current astrological configurations point to the death of a celebrity or royalty (in most cases, but not always, a woman).

Around February 5-6 Jupiter at 23° Libra stations and turns retrograde.

This station points to expenses, purchases and a very artistic and creative mood to beautify the surroundings.

Stationing Jupiter suggests realistic optimism, less generous purchases and a slackening economy.

The media and publishing world may retract or reconsider news or publications around the station.

Mercury enters unpredictable and disruptive Aquarius around February 7.

There is sudden sad news and/or news about some kind of separation.

You may react irritated and show resistance to outer stimuli.

If you are born around January 24, February 22-23, March 24-25, April 24, May 25, June 25-26, July 27, August 27, September 27, October 27, November 26 or December 25-26 there are enjoyable contacts and/or agreements with others around February 10.

For all these birthdays, this is a good day for socializing and/or have a nice talk with a loved one.

Around February 10-11 there is a Lunar Eclipse at 22° Leo, a degree of stress and too much nervous tension.

It's likely this Full Moon indicates separation from loved ones (Leo) or friends (Aquarius), the more so because the days prior to and after this Eclipse have some tense and upsetting configurations going on.

However, this Full Moon period points to some auspicious breakthroughs as well so that separations have to be seen in the widest sense (like childbirth).

The Sun enters secret and mute Pisces around February 18 emphasizing a secret or silent atmosphere.

Around February 21 the Sun at 3° Pisces opposes the mean Lunar North Node.

Usually, this aspect suggests difficulty to maintain a position, a change in recognition, a setback, low self-esteem, health issues or a lower vitality and/or an identity crisis.

This is a separative aspect that may also indicate something not going as you like it.

At the Fixed Star Sadalmelik, this combo often indicates legal issues as well.

Between February 23-25 huge progress can be made on a personal level, especially if you are born around January 10, February 23-24, April 9-10, May 26, July 12, August 28, October 13-14 or November 27.

On a mundane level, giant leaps forward can be made as well but in rather a shocking way.

Around February 25-26 there is relief about a medical situation.

Also, there is insight into secret affairs or the uncovering of fraud or criminal organizations.

Around February 26 Mercury enters vague and secret Pisces during the Solar Eclipse which falls at 8° Pisces, reinforcing a period of increased secrets and events going on behind one's back and/or behind closed doors.

Beware of misinformation making you feel uncertain and confused.

If you are an Aries, you may feel the gossip, rumors and working behind your back more profoundly.

At 8° Pisces, this Solar Eclipse from the 19 South Saros Series, may bring pleasant surprises in the coming 6 months (following the research results by astrologer Bernadette Brady).

According to her, there are joyful events, lucky breaks, lucky wins and/or sudden happiness occuring that can positively change your life.

Clearly, the coming 6 months may be more uplifting on a personal level, especially so if natal Saturn does not interfere with the Solar Eclipse in your natal chart.

Mars and Uranus conjoin at 22° Aries and oppose Jupiter at 22° Libra around this February 26-27 Solar Eclipse period, suggesting legal issues, a combative mood, trying to break free, be independent and exposing secrets or secret societies or organizations.

This configuration is a very exciting one because the planetary principles (combining Mars, Jupiter and Uranus together) equal the meaning of 22° Cardinal signs!

22° Cardinal signs is about the following principles and keywords: pieces of the puzzle falling together, the hidden enters the consciousness with lightning speed, (suddenly) moving fast forward, everything is now possible and may materialize with lightning speed, the gates are fully open, difficulty to grasp and consolidate too much incoming information and/or a blessing in disguise, among others.

The planetary principles combining Mars, Jupiter and Uranus together suggest abrupt uses of social forces, finding the best approach during times of unrest, the increased desire to fight and win, feverish haste to bring awareness or insight, impatience to offer exciting things, the urge to be free and independent, to take sudden decisions and go for it, among others.

On a mundane level, the planetary principles most often have to do with accidents (due to speed) and/or (successful) surgery.

So, while on a personal level this astrological pattern may work out well, on a mundane level, this still remains a highly accident-prone, explosive and violent combo that is likely to bring physical injuries -- even though the worst will be avoided (the blessing in disguise).

Everything that goes fast (in the fields of traffic or transportation) or that has an engine (represented by Mars-Uranus) may be the culprit of explosive events to happen late February.

Also, wildfires belong to the possibilities too.

Anyway, late February 2017 promises to become very hectic, the more so because Mercury at 3° Pisces also opposes the mean North Node of the Moon around February 27.

Mercury-Lunar Node contacts most often denote stressful periods full of nervous tension and an information overload.

Unlike the previous years, the detailed forecasts or descriptions are now hidden and can be made visible by clicking the birthdays or ascending degrees (indicated by the small black triangle before the birthdays and degree areas).

This small triangle acts like a toggle (show/hide).

The HTML5 tags or elements we used only work with the newer browser versions though, so, if you cannot get the show/hide function to work, try to update your browser first.

Hovering over the detailed analyses will show the astrological background or reasoning behind the descriptions.

It's the same method we incorporated in our monthly forecasts.

The show/hide functionality is also introduced now on our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

Due to the heavy workload analyzing and writing the 2017 forecasts, there were no other additions or updates.

Update: Marriage in Female Solar Returns

We'd like to report on our latest research findings pertaining to the solar returns of women, calculated for the year of their marriage.

Our very first research results were based upon 94 solar return charts but in the mean time our database has grown to a fully 270 solar return charts.

Time to find out if our previous results still stand.

The degree areas

The following degree areas jump out:
  • House cusp 5 (Topocentric houses) between 1°-2° Virgo (chi square 115.2)
  • the MC between 3°-4° Aquarius (chi square 52.9)
  • Either the Moon, Ascendant or MC between 29° - 29°59' cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn) (chi square 13.4)
  • Venus between 20°-21° Capricorn (chi square 12.8)
Though the following degree areas are not statistically significant, they still stand out because they are occupied very often by the personal points or bodies and may need to be followed up:
  • the 5th house cusp (Topocentric system) between 1° - 1°59' mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces)
  • Mars between 0° - 0°59' cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn)
  • Mercury between 22° - 22°59' cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn).

Though Mercury is never far away from the Sun, this one is perhaps the least significant.
The following degree areas may have some marriage connection too:
  • 18° - 18°59' cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn)
  • 3° - 3°59' cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn)
  • 3° - 3°59' fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius)
  • 22° - 22°59' cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn)
The aspects
  • Retrograde Venus semi-square Chiron (orb 3°) (chi square 115.1)
  • the Moon in a separating square with retrograde Saturn (orb 6°) (chi square 64.5)
  • Venus conjunct house cusp 3 (Topocentric houses) (orb 1°) (chi square 52.9)
  • direct Mercury opposite retrograde Saturn (orb 6°) (chi square 38.5)
  • Neptune square the Ascendant (orb 3°) (chi square 30.3)
  • Venus conjunct the Ascendant (orb 1°) (chi square 22.1)
  • Jupiter quintile Ceres (orb 1°) (chi square 22.1)
  • Pluto semi-sextile the Ascendant (orb 1°) (chi square 18.5)
  • the Moon opposite Uranus (orb 6°) (chi square 18.2)
  • Venus conjunct the Part of Fortune (differ between day/night) (orb 1°) (chi square 18.0)
  • the Moon in an applying trine with direct Uranus (orb 2°) (chi square 16.0)
  • The Moon conjunct Juno (orb 1°) (chi square 14.9)
  • the Moon in a separating trine with Venus (orb 2°) (chi square 12.0)
The following aspects were not found (denoting that if you find such an aspect in a female solar return chart, chances are this is not a marriage year):
  • Venus opposite Saturn (orb 3°) (chi square 27.0)
  • Venus square Saturn (orb 3°) (chi square 25.0)This is interesting: it looks like the Venus-Saturn squares and oppositions are too harsh, detached or cold for a marriage to take place!
  • the mean North Node of the Moon conjunct the Ascendant (orb 3°) (chi square 25.0)
  • Mercury opposite Mars (orb 3°) (chi square 23.1)
  • Mercury opposite Jupiter (orb 3°) (chi square 23.1)
The rulerships
  • The (modern) ruler of the 1st house conjunct Venus (orb 3°) (chi square 42.8)
  • Venus, ruler of the 1st house, sextile house cusp 9 (Topocentric houses) (orb 3°) (chi square 32.2)
  • the Moon, ruler of the MC, trine house cups 4 (Topocentric houses) (orb3°) (chi square 32.3)
  • the Sun, ruler of the 11th house square the 5th-11th house axis (Topocentric houses) (orb 3°) (chi square 25.0)
  • the ruler of the MC opposite Saturn (orb 6°) (chi square 25.0)
  • The (modern) ruler of the 7th house conjunct the (modern) ruler of the 8th house (orb 3°) (chi square 25.0)
  • the ruler of the MC trine Venus (orb 6°) (chi square 21.7)
  • The (modern) ruler of the 5th house in the 1st Quadrant (houses 1, 2 or 3) (chi square 17.6)
  • The (modern) ruler of the 5th house square the (modern) ruler of the 10th house (orb 6°) (chi square 14.6)
  • the ruler of the 6th house trine the ruler of the 5th house (orb 6°) (chi square 14.2)
  • the ruler of the MC square the ruler of the 5th house (orb 6°) (chi square 13.4)
  • The (modern) ruler of the MC in Leo (chi square 12.1)
  • the ruler of the 5th house in exaltation (chi square 12.0)
Though not statistically significant, the (modern) ruler of the 9th house was most often in Scorpio.

Signs and houses

Interestingly, the Ascendant is most often in Libra, closely followed by Leo (though not statistically significant) and the least often in Aries.

Also, in numerous instances, the North Node of the Moon was in the 7th house and the Sun was in the 11th house (both not statistically often though).

The Moon was most often in its own sign Cancer, closely followed by Leo.
  • the Sun in Aquarius in the 10th house (chi square 48.6).

This means that female Aquarians marry more often in the year the Sun is in the 10th house!

  • Mars in Leo in the 4th house (chi square 36.0)
  • the Sun in Aquarius AND Venus in Capricorn (chi square 33.8)
  • the Moon in Pisces AND Mars in Taurus (chi square 32.3)
  • the Moon in Pisces AND Jupiter in Cancer (chi square 25.0)
  • Venus in Aquarius in the 10th house (chi square 25.0)
  • the Moon in Cancer AND Mars in Virgo (chi square 22.1)
  • Venus in Sagittarius in the 7th house (chi square 20.2)
The midpoints

There is one midpoint that stands out in the 12th harmonic (30° dial/list): JU/Pallas = Part of Fortune (change day/night) (chi square 42.5).

In the 8th Harmonic (45° dial or list) the following midpoints reign:
  • PL/Juno = MO (chi square 22.8)
  • SO/Vertex = MA (chi square 20.6)
  • Chiron/AS = Ceres (chi square 17.3)
  • MO/AS = SO (chi square 14.2)
  • Ceres/Juno = AS (chi square 14.2)
  • MA/Juno = MO (chi square 12.8)
  • MC/KN = Chiron (chi square 12.4)
Other configurations

Above average, Venus was intercepted (but not statistically significant).
