CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #072 -- Another Empirical Researched Marriage Indicator
November 21, 2010
Dear

Perhaps, you may have noticed it already: the look (and to a minor degree the feel) of our web site has changed quite a lot -- and our Love Letter banner has followed the changes ;-)

But only temporarily!

Indeed, what you now see is just an interim solution. For the coming weeks and months we will be further testing and experimenting with new additions and changes to the look and feel of our web site to make it cleaner, easier to navigate, more functional and ready for the 22th Century ;-)

To make sure the transition goes smoothly, we are already trying out and changing some features online (like the wider screen and additional right margin/column).

Normally, this should not disrupt our services or the accessibility of our web site.

However, you never know and that's why we like to inform you that our web site is in a transition mode for the coming months. Also, the envisioned complete changeover denotes that we will have to re-build, re-write ALL our pages to fit the future look and feel!

Mid 2011 will mark a new era for our web site as we hope to relaunch the complete makeover then. The only thing we would like to keep is the very light yellow background for readability reasons (eventually, we might use a much lighter yellow yet in our final changeover).

In the mean time, we will try to still write new content and post it on our web site even if the changeover will demand lots and lots of extra time and energy. Our research studies will temporarily be placed on hold as we cannot do everything at the same time.

Overhauling our web site is currently our top priority, the more so because the first impression one has of a web site does count. Now that Google search also shows an instant preview of a web site in its search results, it's expected this will gain yet more importance (aside from the content of course but the first impression is important too).

That's why we can wait no longer and change our web site NOW (moreover, if we wait longer and add more and more pages and content over time, it will become almost impossible to revamp 500+ HTML pages without any difficulties...).

Because of the HUGE workload that accompanies rewriting the code for a web site with about 500+ HTML-pages, we urge you to be gentle while we try to still process all inquiries, orders, requests, questions or whatever, in time. Just bear with us while we make sure the transition goes as smoothly as possible for the coming months and that's why we need to take our time too.

Our web site currently should look quite well in Opera Google Chrome and Internet Explorer but does not do quite well in the latest Firefox 4 (Beta 7) version yet. By the way, nothing beats Opera in speed, customization, ergonomics, add-ons, skins etc... (even on outdated computers!).

We're following this up too but recommend Opera or Google Chrome (in that order) as your standard browser instead of Internet Explorer if speed is what you want. Safari too cannot cope with the previous mentioned browsers. Independent browser reviews confirm our own findings (one of them is zdnet ).

Back to astrology, we do hope our 2011 forecasts for the 12 zodiac signs will be ready early January 2011. Yes, rest assured, these are one of our other top priorities!

A BIG hug ;-)
Luc De Jaeger

Love Forecasts for December 2010

Around December 1 Mercury enters formal Capricorn. Your thinking is focused on a status-quo. You take a conservative approach now and you want to be as efficient as possible. Mercury here brings a sobering outlook on a material world denoting that you can not afford any flights of fancy, need to address your financial situation and force yourself to keep thinking "in the box" rather than outside of the box.

Mars at 26° Sagittarius squares stationing Uranus at 26° Pisces around December 3. Mars and Uranus together often bring accidents and physical injuries, because of highly unbalanced energies, too much haste and some anger. It's a hectic, temperamental and explosive combination.

Mercury conjoins the Moon's Node first and then followed by Pluto at 3° and 4° Capricorn resp. around the New Moon of December 5-6 while Uranus stations at 26° Pisces. A stationing planet or point always becomes most powerful -- eventually overpowers any other configuration.

When disruptive Uranus stations and turns direct again, its influence gets temporarily intensified. Uranus always breaks up, leaving the past behind, but does not always take everything into account. Stationing Uranus acts more on impulses. Also, on a mundane level, stationing Uranus at 26° Pisces is right at a very powerful degree of earthquakes. As long as Uranus remains on this degree (till early January 2011), (a) powerful earthquake(s) is (are) to be feared around the station.

Comes to the stationing Uranus a lingering Mercury-Pluto conjunction in the earth sign Capricorn, and transformations in the earth or of the surface of the earth are confirmed...

Mars enters Capricorn too around December 8, intensifying the importance of material goods, money, structures etc... and getting into action, pushing through boundaries with hard work.

Mars in the earth sign Capricorn becomes very organized and constructive and will soon conjunct Mercury and Pluto so that the primarily signification and central theme of the month will be one of "rebuilding" (often to be taken literally too).

Also, the entrance of Mars into this cold sign, denotes that the atmosphere will cool off, become more business-minded and full of formalities. No time for kisses! Expect (much) colder weather too.

If that's not enough yet, around the same period of December 10, Mercury stations at 5° Capricorn and turns backward, ready to conjoin Pluto once again on December 14. There is love's sorrow in the air.

Also, Mercury and Pluto remain together during the first half of December (around 4-5° Capricorn). In many ways, this combo brings negative thoughts, impatience, lots of rhetoric and exclamation marks, presumptions, tunnel vision but no progress...

Stationing retrograde Mercury in Capricorn will especially affect Geminis and Virgos who will feel more obstructions and limitations in their life. Things are on hold. There is more administration and you will need to re-organize something (especially in matters of finances).

With currently so many bodies in the earth sign Capricorn, life is not centered around love. Instead, the focus is on our society, politics, work and career and finances.

Around December 12, Mars conjuncts the Moon's North Node at 3° Capricorn enjoying the company of others and working nicely together.

Retrograde Mercury meets Mars and Pluto at 4° Capricorn around December 14. There's lots of work to be done.

However, if you are born around December 27, February 9, March 25-26, May 11, June 26-28, August 13, September 28-29 or November 12, the time-span of December 13-15 may be marked by disputes, separation, lawsuits and dissatisfaction -- depending on your own natal chart. On a more positive note, it also denotes changes in or around the home (rebuilding a house for example).

Around December 16, Mercury joins the Moon's North Node at 3° Capricorn while the Sun at 24° Sagittarius squares its own dispositor Jupiter at 24° Pisces. You tend to over-do and experience misjudgements. You see it big, too big and know no limits. Expenses are too high.

If you are born around January 29-30, March 15-16, April 30-May 1, June 16-17, August 2-3, September 17-18, November 2-3 or December 16-17 you're in for a good time around December 16-17. There is love at first sight and you may meet Mr. or Ms. Right. If you're a woman, you may become pregnant too. In case you are born around December 16-17, the auspicious love configurations will last your whole (solar return) year.

Mercury re-enters Sagittarius backwards around December 18. Don't stay indoors and get outside instead.

Around the same day of December 18, the Sun at 26° Sagittarius squares stationing Uranus at 26° Pisces increasing tension and nervous stress. You try to resist any pressure coming down on you.

The Sun meets Mercury at 28° Sagittarius around December 20 and is going to square Uranus too. This configuration is related to breaking news.

If you are born around January 31-February 1, March 18-19, May 2-3, June 19-20, August 4-5, September 20-21, November 4-5 or December 19-20, you will enjoy some company or nice love letters. Send a gift or a lovely message. There may be an encounter with a beloved person. Socialize!

On the day of the Lunar Eclipse around December 21 at 29° Gemini, regressing Mercury at 26° Sagittarius squares stationing Uranus at 26° Pisces too. Sudden (breaking) news clearly awaits you. You may move or change the place.

If you are born around January 31, March 17, May 1, June 17-18, August 4, September 19-20, November 4 or December 18 the Lunar Eclipse brings fortunate news. There can be love at first sight!

The Sun enters Capricorn around December 22 while Mercury at 25° Sagittarius squares its own dispositor Jupiter at 25° Pisces. You have the wrong faith, overlook facts and figures and are not too careful. Human errors are made while you wait under this transit.

However, if you are born around February 4, March 21, May 6, June 21-22, August 8, September 23-24, November 8 or December 22 this very day of December 22 is full of lover's bliss, love encounters, love adventures. It's a highly auspicious day for you and if you are born around December 22, the topic of happiness in love will mark your whole (solar return) year. Enjoy!

Around December 24, the Sun joins the Moon's North Node at 2° Capricorn denoting the help of or the encounter with a male person.Around Christmas Day, the Sun and Pluto are conjunct at 5° Capricorn. In some instances this conjunction will bring enforced separations, while on other occasions, the outcome is more auspicious and one of loyalty and clan-like behavior. You stick together that is.

Mars at 16° Capricorn squares its own dispositor Saturn at 16° Libra around December 29. This ice-cold and harsh combination may be related to fractures here and there (depending on your own natal chart). The outgoing square is quite difficult to handle because it so often brings physical injuries and accidents due to reckless behavior. You better be careful especially on ice (in the Northern Hemisphere)! It may also mark very (ice-) cold weather here and there.

Mercury stations again and starts looking forward around December 30 at 19° Sagittarius. Geminis and Virgos will lighten up and look forward to 2011 again.

What's New on Our Web Site?

These are the updates and changes we made since our previous Love Letter:
  • we added a new button in the left navigation bar about Love and Astrology , that brings you to a new introductory page on which can be found all our (general) articles that are related to, well... yes, love and astrology ;-)

In fact, this new button and page will bundle sub-pages that are currently found under different other headings and buttons (like the compatibility pages and individual love horoscopes pages) and should make searching for articles easier and more consistent.

It's also part of solving navigation issues that some visitors seem to have.

  • we updated our how to prevent miscarriages page with minor new research results.

  • we temporarily changed the look and feel of our web site and will experiment with and test quite some new possibilities in the coming weeks and months before relaunching our web site mid 2011. Indeed, before mid 2011 we expect to have a complete makeover of our web site. In the mean time, our web site and all the existing features should be available without interruptions.

You can now find in the right navigation column a handy search button and a google inline(!) translation feature as well as an opt-in for our monthly newsletter. On some pages, you can also find the current planetary positions. We hope to keep these features in the changeover of our web site mid 2011.

In case we find something better than Google translations, we will use it but for now, we're afraid there is not so much better on the market. The advantage of Google technology is that it has an inline function (without pop-ups, new tabs etc...) and works instantly. Even if the translations are at times hilarious, it's still better than nothing and we're absolutely sure the ever evolving technologies will make the translations better over time.

You may notice further changes as the weeks to come because we have to rebuild ALL our pages one by one (you won't always notice any changes we do when coding because there is quite some work in progress in the background too...). The complete changeover should be finished before the Summer of 2011. Stay tuned...
with minor new research results.

Another Empirical Researched Marriage Indicator

In 1951, the German astrologer E. H. Troinski "discovered" a new key for directing the planets and points in the natal chart. He found that the key of "one tropical month after birth equals a mean solar day after birth" brought stunningly accurate predictions. In plain English the key boils down to saying that "one rotation of the Moon equals one rotation of the Earth."

His method of directing the planets and points was called Tertiary Directions I (or TDH I as the abbreviation for Tertiary Directional Horoscopes I). Later, a second key was derived from it and called Tertiary Directions II (TDH II).

The word "Tertiary" followed the Primary Directions (which are based on the rotation of the Earth on its axis, or the first movement, with the key: "one degree equals one year.") This method was mentioned by Ptolemy and is based on astronomical facts. An exact time of birth is mandatory to have reliable predictions though!

The Tertiary Directions also followed the Secondary Directions (commonly called "Progressions") that are based on the second movement of the Earth or its revolution around the Sun. The key here is "one day equals one year." This method was discovered by the astronomer and mathematician Johannes Kepler in 1610.

E. H. Troinski published his findings in 1958 with numerous future mundane forecasts to support his methods which, unfortunately for him, did seldom materialize or manifest.

Because most of Troinski's mundane forecasts that were based on his findings about the Tertiary Directions failed, his method has not been used by many astrologers. However, some astrologers re-examined Troinski's findings using natal charts and horoscopes of human beings to find out the effectiveness of the Tertiary Directions regarding real life events.

So it happened that a Danish astrologer, Sven Frederik Fischer Svensson, heard about Troinski's Tertiary Directions and wanted to know if they were valuable in predicting the time of his marriage. To his amazement, on the day of his marriage, the Sun and Venus were conjunct in the Tertiary Directions I.

Remember and FYI: in astrology, the Sun-Venus conjunction has always been a basic "marriage constellation" in male horoscopes (and so is a Sun-Mars conjunction in female horoscopes).

---------- SIDEBAR ----------
Prince Willam currently has a Sun-Venus conjunction in his (secondary) progressed charts (using the key of 1 day after birth = 1 year after birth)!
---------- SIDEBAR ----------

To his surprise, this Danish astrologer also found the same pattern analyzing the Tertiary Directions I for other family members and nativities.

Because of this, his appetite was really whetted and he started to make the Tertiary Directions for the time of marriage a lifetime investigation. He found out that empirical astrological research makes such a heavy demand upon one that it's almost impossible to find anything anytime soon and that's why it lasted a lifetime to find statistically significant results. After all, there is so much to take into account statistically, that it's such a time-consuming task to find reliable results.

He was fully aware that the most critical and sceptic (and even opponent) person would demand proof and "scientific documentation" that the findings were infallible.

What did he find?

He researched all the data of married men, compiled from Kraks Blaa Bog (the Danish Who's Who) and the Sun-Venus conjunctions from 1890 till 1999. He added 584 data of male students of "Realklasse" containing biographies of pupils and teachers of his old school for the period of 1920-1970. He only researched the aspects in the Tertiary Directions I without taking into consideration the natal chart or the inter-aspects between the natal chart and the Tertiaries.

The orb of the conjunction was 11° (5°30' on either side) and he found twice as many marriages as expected.

He found the retrograde Venus conjunct the Sun to be a major indication of a marriage, especially if the aspect is applicative and is found in a male horoscope.

The Sun-Venus conjunction with an orb of 11° in the Tertiary Directions I (using the mean solar day after birth) proves to be a significant indicator for a marriage, especially in the male nativity. For female marriages the close Sun-Mars conjunction has to be taken into account.

In our opinion, you should also take into account the converse directions. It's found that converse directions and progressions seem to work more openly. Alphee Lavoie, astrologer and Director of the Research Department of the N.G.C.R. (National Council of Geocosmic Research) uses both the direct and converse Tertiary Directions to forecast events accurately to the day.

So, if you want to know if any marriage year is up, check the direct and converse Tertiary Directions I for Sun-Venus conjunctions (if you are a man) or Sun-Mars conjunctions (if you are a woman).

If you have found such a combination, check other horoscopes (solar return charts, progressions etc.) to find confirmation. No confirmation, no marriage!

Mind though! People do marry even when there is NO Sun-Venus conjunction in the Tertiaries. The Sun-Venus conjunction is not a must for a marriage to take place! It's ONE of the many configurations that may point to a marriage. If you find it, a marriage may be in the air. If you don't find it, you still may marry in which case other configurations will apply.

Most astrological software programs have the Tertiaries on board (make sure it is set to calculate the mean solar day and not the true one).

In case you have no software or your software program does not support this technique, you can get your Tertiary Directions from Astrodienst's web site for free. Go to their web site
  • click "Free Horoscopes" in the left navigation bar
  • Click the last option "Horoscope Drawings and Calculations"
  • Click "Extended Chart Selection"
  • you'll see in red the option "Circular charts" under the Methods section. Leave it that way. Beside the "Please select the type of chart you want.:" notion select either "natal and tertiary progressions *" OR "Tertiary progressions *" from the drop-down box
  • change other options you may find useful on the screen (and eventually adjust the date you want the Tertiary Direction of)
  • Click the button that says "Click here to show the chart".
  • In case you have not yet registered (it's totally free and simple to do), you will be asked to login (or make a free account) and add the birth data (you can add many data). If you follow the simple directions on the screen, you will then get your free horoscope wheel online.
By the way, Astrodienst offers a huge amount of astrological methods and features online for free as you will notice.

Different Things

We'd like to share some interesting things that we think may be of interest to you.

  • We got a link to an interesting and totally FREE astrological software program called "Morinus" that works on Windows, Apple Macs and Linux.

For those of you who have no astrological software, this one has quite something to offer (not the bells and whistles of the paid programs) but still... It incorporates most basic features (and a most powerful feature about primary directions). Its main focus is on medieval astrology, but still, this does not matter as it calculates the charts in a reliable way and uses the most accurate Swiss Ephemeris too. It also runs stable. Highly recommended. Check it out after the link

  • We were very excited to learn that the methods of Nicola Smuts, a British-based astrologer, who claims to have helped women conceive even after IVF treatment had failed, will be scientifically researched by Shady Grove Fertility, a chain of IVF clinics in the U.S. We do know that fertility really is in the stars, as is the gender of the baby...

Nicola Smuts uses ancient, medieval principles to find almost infallible fertile times. Read the article after the link

  • Finally, the rumors are confirmed, Prince William and Kate Middleton are going to get married in the spring or summer of 2011. The announcement of the Royal Engagement was made public on November 16, 2010. We will surely follow this up as it seems to become the (Royal) Wedding of the year 2011.

Prince William is the heir to the throne of Great Britain. Prince William and Kate Middleton currently have an 8-year relationship and though they separated in 2007, their bond only grew stronger after dating again.

The couple became engaged in October 2010 in Kenya, East Africa, during a 10-day trip to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to celebrate William passing his RAF helicopter search and rescue course.

Kate Middleton is born on January 9, 1982, Reading, UK, time unknown, (Source: Wikipedia )

Prince William is born on June 21, 1982 at 21:03 (9:03 PM) in Paddington London, England (Source: AstroDatabank )
