In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around February 5, February 11, February 17-18 and/or February 25. During this month of February 2016, a couple of planetary configurations will affect some birthdays in particular:
In general and on a mundane level, the whole month of February is marked by Saturn being at the Jupiter/Neptune midpoint (45° dial/list, orb 1°). This suggests a less optimistic month in general, more hesitation in taking decisions, plans that cannot be carried out (fully) (yet), (self-)deceptions, some seemingly helpless situations, lots of precipitation, floods, water-related issues (and damage) here and there and yet more financial issues as well (financial losses or expenses, crashes, slowing down and/or downfall of the financial markets etc.). Also, in medical astrology, this configuration denotes issues with lungs, blood and/or liver so that we may see an increase of illnesses related to these organs as well as more tiredness and even exhaustion. More rest and (deep) sleep IS mandatory during this lingering transit. Mercury at 17° Capricorn squares Uranus at 17° Aries around January 31 - February 1 suggesting misunderstandings and/or being misunderstood. Unexpected messages, (breaking) news or changing orders disrupt your goals or plans. The early February days are tense and full of sudden reversals and nervousness. Expect some sleepless nights. This is not too good a time to travel because there can be some transportation and/or traffic accidents (as well as air disasters). If you are born around February 1-2, March 17-18, May 2-3, June 18, August 4, November 4 or December 18-19, you are in a very sensitive period and some of you may feel ill, leave the environment and/or disappear. Others may become more spiritual and/or have spiritual experiences. Beware of water-related influences (drowning, inundations, floods etc.). In these first days of February issues related to buildings may arise as well. Between February 4-6 there is still hardship, lots of work to accomplish but also tense resistance, tenacity and determination to overcome the obstacles. Venus and Pluto conjoin at 16° Capricorn while Venus also squares Uranus at 17° Aries thereafter around February 6. This configuration indicates irresistible attraction, being in a creative mood and intense love desires. However, in mundane astrology, Venus and Pluto together have never been at ease (and peace) with each other and often mark forceful and violent experiences. Indeed, Pluto's intensity is too much to handle for harmony-loving Venus and with the help of unsettling Uranus, upsetting events are likely to happen. Hence, this Venus-Uranus-Pluto pattern is often involved in break-ups and separations and rather short-lived (fatal) attractions. Around February 7 the Sun at 18° Aquarius squares Mars at 18° Scorpio and suggests the deployment of force (the armed forces?) in an exaggerated way. This is an adventurous combo, a very risk-taking and daring one, often for the sake of just proving one's own self-worth. It's a tactless aspect as well. There is relief and a successful turn of events going on around the February 8 New Moon. If you are born around February 8, March 24, May 9, June 25, August 11, September 26-27, November 11 or December 25 these fortunate developments will especially apply to you and will last a couple of days. Mercury enters hectic and disruptive Aquarius around February 13 implying increased nervousness, stress and tension. There can be disagreements and disputes going on with people just venting their own convictions. There is a very talkative atmosphere and it will be necessary to adjust (and even retract) some convictions, statements and claims in the next days. Venus enters independent Aquarius around February 16-17 and is full of wishfull thinking. Venus is in a romantic and exciting mood but for some of you these astrological influences are lived in a more artistic and creative way. Artists may now find insights and helpful ideas for their creative projects. Around February 19, the Sun enters the mutable water sign Pisces and becomes more compassionate and spiritual. However, this day can be a quite chaotic one on which you may rather want to be alone, make your home a cozy place and/or focus on your inner Self. The February 22 Full Moon period hits a tense and upsetting configuration. In the light of awareness bringing Full Moon periods during which things are much more public and out into the open, stressful and explosive configurations are always something to watch out for. Emotions may run high. Between February 23-26 chances are you will have to cancel your plans. There can be an unusual lot of traffic and/or transportation accidents happening in this time frame and you better watch out. Expect some hopeful, optimistic and persuasive speeches and relief around February 27. Around February 28, the Sun and dissolving Neptune conjoin at 9° Pisces, a dissolving degree of letting go, implying a rather mourning and/or sad mood to end the month with. These text balloons give some additional astrological insight for the more astrologically advanced visitors/readers. We encountered some readability issues when being to detailed in our descriptions of the different rising degrees or birthdays while writing the yearly forecasts though. The tooltips continuously popped up after every sentence so that this may have irritated some of you and may have caused confusion. That's why we made the decision to group or bundle more degree areas and birthdays instead of delineating each and every rising degree and each and every birthday that are hit by some astrological configurations or midpoint pictures separately. The Venus Mars SquareIn our June 21, 2015 (issue #127) and September 21, 2015 (issue #130) Love Letters we delineated the natal Venus-Mars (bi-)quintile and trine aspects.In our ongoing effort to gain insight in the real essence of all the natal aspects, we are doing empirical research with the help of the AstroDatabank which currently contains 53,000+ birth data. We're still investigating all the natal Venus-Mars aspects first before investigating other planetary aspects. This time we want to share our research results pertaining to the natal Venus-Mars square (aspect of 90°). When researching the meaning of aspects we only use a very tight orb of 1° because we're convinced it's the only way to find the essence of the aspects. Also, we make a difference between male and female charts, and when possible, differ between applying and separating aspects as well. 1. The Venus Mars Square in the FEMALE Chart General Meaning In general, women with a tight natal Venus-Mars square are ambitious, driven and determined. Some of them can even be (over)achievers. It does not surprise then that many of them are business-owners! Above average, they went through different marriages. One of the husbands is usually much older. Above average, women with a tight Venus-Mars square have blonde hair and a slender body. They are active or work in the fields of publishing, PR etc.. A. The Applying Square Women with an applying Venus-Mars square are married different times. They are frequently business owners. Above average they have expressive eyes and a long, rather sharp nose. B. The Separating Square Women who have a tight separating Venus-Mars square are the most determined and ambitious. They are slender and articulate and love the outdoors. 2. The Venus Mars Square in the MALE Chart General Meaning In general, men with a tight Venus-Mars square are born into a large family. What sets them apart from others is the vocational awards they receive for their expertise in some field. Above average they have different children. Men with a tight Venus-Mars square are often widowed. They themselves may either live a very short life or a very long one. Many of the men with a tight Venus Mars square live away from their country of birth (they are expatriates). This tight square may still result in long-lasting marriages (and here this square differs with women). Also, it looks like numerous men with this square aspect are cerebral, intellectuals. A. The Applying Square Men who have the applying Venus Mars square are often instructors, teachers, coaches, lecturers, preachers.... They can be vocal and real activists also. B. The Separating Square Men who have a tight separating Venus-Mars square are born in a large family and they have different children themselves.
