In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around May 3-4, May 9-10, May 16-17 and/or May 24. During this month of May 2016, a couple of planetary configurations will affect some birthdays in particular:
In general and on a mundane level, the same planetary configurations that were active in February 2016 are active again this month of May 2016. Indeed, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are still building an exhausting and lingering T-square (Saturn being the apex planet) and while Saturn was at the Jupiter/Neptune midpoint in February 2016, this month of May 2016 it's stationing Jupiter that now hits the Saturn/Neptune midpoint (45° dial/list; orb 1°). This midpoint suggests financial issues (shortages, expenses, losses, crashes and/or bankruptcy), dissatisfaction, not being able to develop oneself, dis-ease (especially related to lung, liver and/or blood issues), austerity, upset with the way this world unfolds, pessimism, losing the will to fight... Clearly, this is an exhausting combo and you must take enough (deep) sleep to regenerate and try to keep a positive spirit and conquer health challenges. Unfortunately, 'the fight' is not over yet and some additional courage and 'light' is deeply needed. If you are born around January 18-19, March 3-4, April 17-18, June 3-4, July 20-21, September 5-6, October 21-22 or December 4-5, this configuration will affect you most. The first couple of days of May are better spent at home and/or in the family circle. Make home a cozy place and/or find peace and comfort in a small circle of loved ones. The May 6 New Moon period at 16° Taurus is a tough one. It's also a SuperMoon, the Moon being closest to the earth, and likely resulting in some extreme weather and/or natural phenomena here and there. There are enforced changes and/or a threat of loss. Take care of your health and also beware of self-destruction. Expect hard hard work also but you will have the courage to be tenacious and endure. If you are born around February 5-6, March 21-22, May 6-7, June 22, August 8-9, September 23-24, November 8 or December 22-23, this New Moon period will especially affect you. Around May 8 there is a lot of stress and tension and the urge to impose one's will on others. There are power conflicts going on that go hand in hand with lots of resistance and not wanting to give in at all. These current oppressive and upsetting configurations may be especially felt if you are born around February 7, March 23, May 8, June 24, August 10, September 26, November 10 or December 24-25. Jupiter stations and turns direct at 13° Virgo around May 9. In Virgo, the zodiac sign of work and health, Jupiter struggles with numerous details, documents and administration. There are tons of menial tasks to accomplish around the station and you tend to get lost a bit. You may find that the final and tangible products don't really match the concept(s). In critical Virgo, your belief system is challenged as well and you are still struggling with faith and trust. However, because of Jupiter's direct motion, you will slowly regain faith after you have managed to cope with the menial tasks. Because stationing Jupiter magnifies, expands and intensifies a lot, health challenges may be experienced. Fortunately, the direct motion of expansive Jupiter is slowly going to show its more flamboyant and outgoing traits (especially when Jupiter leaves introvert Virgo in September 2016). The station will bring a slow start to better economics and more business ventures. It may help health research and employee satisfaction. The days around May 13 can be explosive, accident-prone and/or violent. There is irritability and fanaticism. Expect sudden reversals and a sudden change of course. You may be obliged to cancel your plans. Transportation issues belong to the possibilities and lots of buzz and rumors are going on. Mercury and Venus conjoin at 16° Taurus around the same day of May 13 suggesting words (and communication) beautifully expressed and/or diplomatic skills. This can be a very creative (artistic) conjunction that shows love in a tangible way. Often, this combo points to lovingly commemorating someone or some situation. Around May 14 you are reveling in love. It's a good day for creative and artistic projects (photography, music etc.) and to use your imagination. Enjoy a gathering or party. If you are born around February 6, March 22, May 7, June 23, August 9, September 25, November 9 or December 23-24, these configurations are likely to affect you most. The Sun enters volatile and communicative Gemini around May 20. Nothing stays the same and you will need to be and remain flexible to adapt yourself to the ever changing energies. The focus for the coming weeks is about information gathering, rumors and gossip... The May 21 Full Moon period can be challenging because the Moon is void of course just before the Full moon takes place at 1° Sagittarius (a degree of police, crimes and/or investigative work). In numerous instances a void of course Moon prior to a Full Moon suggests that the 48 hours before the Full Moon can be highly explosive. It implies that situations may get out of hand, out of control and this configuration may point to a crisis event or mass event that is out of control. In expansive and centrifugal Sagittarius, this Full Moon of increased awareness may point to blasts and/or explosions. Be again prepared to cancel your plans! Around the same day of May 22, the Sun at 1° Gemini opposes Mars at 1° Sagittarius adding to this explosive Full Moon period. The Sun-Mars opposition points to violence and accidents but also to the dare-devil, trouble-maker and/or trouble-shooter. This is a very competitive and goal-oriented aspect, driven by primal urges, impatience and self-interests. Still around the same day of May 22, Mercury stations at 14° Taurus and goes direct again. Rejoice Geminis and Virgos (and Gemini and Virgo Ascendants) because things are slowly getting better for you and 'moving forward' again. Because in the 45° dial/list Mercury's station falls at the stationing Neptune/Pluto midpoint since May 18, we expect the whole time frame between May 18 and 27 to revolve around cancelling plans, not being able to carry out plans, material losses, the force of a group and/or group dynamics, nervous irritability and/or having to obey or submit to others. This looks like a turbulent time frame. Venus enters unstable Gemini around May 24. In this position, Venus becomes the social butterfly, always looking for a flirt and unable making a choice. Sociable Venus just loves wandering and encountering many people in a rather superficial way. The day after, around May 25 Venus at 0° Gemini opposes Mars at 0° Sagittarius which is hardly a peaceful aspect. Venus-Mars aspects suggest difficulties in knowing boundaries and most often this results in clashes, accidents, impulsively jumping into each other and conflicts. It's a very impulsive aspect indeed that acts first and thinks later. Jupiter at 13° Virgo squares Saturn at 13° Sagittarius around May 26. In mundane astrology, this Jupiter-Saturn aspect points to the European Union that is still in the spotlight the whole month of May. Property and buildings too will mark this month for whatever reason as this aspect becomes exact now. Around May 27 retrograde Mars (re-)enters intense Scorpio, resulting in determination and stamina. In Scorpio, penetrating Mars obsessively goes to the bottom of anything it has set its mind on. Often, this entrance also shows sexual interests as well as secret deals or activities. Between May 28-31, there is love at first sight and there is creativity in the air. It's a sociable time that may bring some welcome presents/gifts or surprises. The Draconic Zodiac in SynastryYou may have heard about the Tropical Zodiac (based upon the declination of the Sun and most often used in the Western world) and the Sidereal Zodiac (based upon the Constellations and most often used in India) but you may not realize there is another kind of Zodiac also: the Draconic Zodiac.Many astrology software programs do feature the Draconic Zodiac besides the Tropical and Sidereal Zodiac though so that it's quite simple to have an astrology chart calculated according to the Draconic Zodiac. The origin of the Draconic Zodiac is unclear; some claim it dates back to Babylonian times while others claim Edgar Cayce, 'the sleeping prophet', introduced this kind of horoscopes. Though Edgar Cayce's readings hold valuable astrological information without a doubt, we still have not found a reading that specifically describes the Draconic Zodiac as such. The meaning of the Draconic Zodiac While the Tropical Zodiac is Sun-based, the Draconic Zodiac is based upon the Moon's Nodes. In astrology, the Lunar Nodes or Moon's Nodes are told to be soul-based, reflecting the Universal Law of Balance (often called 'Karma') and pointing to where the soul is (or should be) heading. Hence, the Draconic Zodiac represents the development of the Soul in this world, on this planet earth. When using the Draconic Zodiac in synastry, one can find out if there is soul mate potential, presenting a connection or bond that is larger than life, that is beyond this life and that has roots on a higher or universal soul level. Calculating the Draconic Zodiac In the Draconic Zodiac, the mean North Node of the Moon is always posited at 0° Aries, the Vernal Point. Some astrologers use the True North Node though, but most often the mean north Node is told to bring better results. All positions of all the planets, points and bodies are measured in terms of their distances from the mean North Node in the horoscope. This distance in degrees is then added or subtracted to the North Node. In short, the formula is as follows: Planet/Angle - North Node = Draconic Planet/Angle If you don't have astrology software featuring the Draconic Zodiac, this online calculator may work for you. The Draconic Zodiac is actually (another) mathematical construct in astrology (like the composite chart) and has to be delineated accordingly. This means that the planets only change signs (not houses)! The Draconic Zodiac in Synastry In synastry (or chart comparison between two people), the Draconic Zodiac points to soul agreements (and past life connections), especially when you find conjunctions and/or oppositions to the Ascendant/Descendant axis and the Sun and Moon. Sun-Moon conjunctions and/or oppositions between the Draconic Zodiacs of the partners may point to soul matches. It may also be worth to compare the Draconic Zodiac of one partner with the Tropical Zodiac of the other partner. Here too, very close conjunctions and/or oppositions may be very revealing and important. Mutual tight aspects between the Ascendant, Sun and Moon are telling! The squares can be more challenging, pointing to (past life) lessons still not mastered. If there are no mutual tight Sun, Moon, Ascendant connections, there may not be any soul agreement or contract and the partners may meet for temporary reasons.
