CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #149 -- Men Married "Late"
April 21, 2017
Dear

In this issue we'd like to present our preliminary research results pertaining to men who married for the first time after the age of 45.

Is there any predisposition for getting married later in life to be found in the natal chart?

Are some ancient (medieval) aphorisms about late marriages reliable and true?

This and more in our article below.

Love and joy!

In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around May 7, May 14-15, May 21-22 and/or May 27-28.

During this month of May, the following planetary configurations will affect some birthdays in particular:
  • If you are born around February 1, March 17, May 2, June 18, August 4, September 20, November 4 or December 19, this month of May is about obstruction and some hardship.

There still can be physical issues or injuries and chances are you will share some disruptive moments with others.

  • If you are born around January 1, February 15, April 1, May 17, July 3, August 19, October 4 or November 18, this month of May is about resisting changes, upholding your own traditions and habits, overexertion, tension and stress.

Try to relax if possible at all.

  • If you are born around February 5, March 21-22, May 6, June 22, August 8-9, September 24, November 8 or December 23, this month of May is about slowly altering your life style and increased (physical) sensitivity.

In some instances water-related issues may influence your life.

Some of you may decide to disappear, go missing or hiding.

Pregnant women should watch their health and be very careful when taking drugs or medication.

Also, some others may become increasingly interested in metaphysics and the spiritual realms.

  • If you are born around January 10, February 23, April 9, May 26, July 12, August 28, October 13 or November 27, this month of May is about relief and changes in outlook or perspective which help you understand the role of incorporating new ideas in life.

This month is likely to bring happy and fortunate breaks and good news.
Generally speaking and on a mundane level, Chiron and stationing Saturn are still building a turbulent square till mid May, which is quite upsetting a combination following mundane astrology.

If you are born around January 17, February 1, February 15-16, March 17-18, April 17, May 2, May 18, June 18, July 19-20, August 4, August 20, September 20, October 20, November 4, November 19 or December 18-19 some hardship will linger on this month of May 2017.

Overall, expect a sobering half of the month during which you won't be allowed to fly too high.

Just face the facts and change your mindset or change direction, if possible.

In many instances, your health can be compromised due to illness or injuries.

Saturn-Chiron clashes can be very stubborn and blocking progress.

Let's focus on what the month has in store.

Around April 30 - May 1 you feel uncomfortable and want to be left alone.

You may not be able to live in harmony with someone or with others and face difficulties in adapting.

For some of you, a hospital visit may be necessary.

Beware of accidents causing physical injuries and/or surgery.

If you are born around January 11-12, February 25-26, April 11-12, May 28, July 14, August 30, October 15 or November 28-29, the current astrological configurations may especially affect you.

Around May 1-2 the physical restrictions continue and you may share disruptive events or experiences with others.

Face the facts as good as possible.

If you are born around February 1, March 17, May 2, June 18, August 4, September 20, November 4 or December 19, the current astrological configurations may especially affect you.

Mercury stations at 24° Aries and turns direct again around May 3.

Rejoice Geminis and Virgos (and Gemini and Virgo Ascendants) because your sign ruler (and life) slowly starts to move forward again.

Between May 4-7 traffic- and/or transportation accidents may happen.

Also, this is a noisy time frame during which disputes, criticism and nervous tension prevail.

Moreover, it's decision-time and chances are you will be obliged to take action because of an emergency situation popping up unexpectedly.

Around the May 10 Full Moon period, stationing Mercury and Uranus conjoin at 25° Aries, suggesting passionately pushing through any resistance to execute your plan(s).

This can be a violent and/or accident-prone conjunction resulting in physical injuries.

Some moderation and paying diligent attention may be helpful now.

During this Full Moon period of May 10-11 you tend to too hastily reject assistance and feel irritated and angry.

You want to free yourself from any external oppression and force.

There is deceit with associates, friendships or connections and you may now pay a price which is way more than you expected.

You feel sad and face separation and/or estrangement.

This is a good time to work alone though even though some of you may quit work or be fired.

If you are born around January 18, March 3-4, April 18, June 3-4, July 20-21, September 5-6, October 21-22 or December 5-6, this may especially apply to you.

Mars at 13° Gemini squares Neptune at 13° Pisces around May 11 dissipates energy and chances are your actions are fruitless and vain.

Don't waste your energy when the time is not right; after all, astrology is all about the right timing...

Around May 12-13 some restrictions need to be softened.

It may be very difficult to get over a separation and you feel a huge distance in matters of love and romance.

If you are born around December 29, February 11, March 28, May 13-14, June 29-30, August 16, October 1 or November 15, alienation may affect you most now.

If you are born around this day of May 12-13, the configurations may work out during your whole (solar return) year (counting from birthday to birthday).

Between May 13-15 there is deceit, betrayal, a feeling of being misunderstood, difficulty in expressing yourself properly, a setback, separation, sadness.

Who can now be trusted?

The current astrological configurations show it's always best to learn to stand firm in your own shoes.

If you are born around January 18, March 3-4, April 18, June 3-4, July 20-21, September 5-6, October 21-22 or December 5-6, the current astrological configurations may affect you most.

Mercury, the messenger, enters stable and materialistic Taurus around May 15-16.

Taurus is not communicative at all and often can be very obstinate in venting opinions.

Changing one's mind becomes not easy and may result in a tense atmosphere.

Venus at 13° Aries opposes retrograde Jupiter at 13° Libra while the Sun at 28° Taurus squares the Lunar Nodes around May 19.

This opposition reflects disappointment and betrayal.

Love, sex and romance are difficult to blend one way or the other and misunderstood completely.

There is a conflict and even war noticeable between society's morals, love and sex.

Relationships are plagued by unrealistic ideals and you may rather prefer a short-lived romantic fling.

Indulgence and extravagance rule and what you do now tend to be done with enthusiasm and an excess of grandiose feelings.

If you are born around January 4, February 17, April 3-4, May 19-20, July 5-6, August 21-22, October 7 or November 21, this Venus-Jupiter opposition indicates achieving things that would pleasurize you on a material or physical level.

Social involvement and social activities make you happy and you know where and how you should mix with others in society or a group.

Around May 20, the Sun enters mutable and airy Gemini suggesting a lighter atmosphere.

Around May 21 there is sorrow and you think the worst.

You feel down, face a lack of zest and energy.

You don't know what to do.

If you are born around January 25, March 10-11, April 25, June 11, July 28, September 12-13, October 28 or December 12, the current astrological configurations may affect you most.

Around May 22 you may enjoy creativity, fortunate developments, popularity and windfalls.

You are able to complete plans with others, work with others successfully.

Around the perigee New Moon of May 25 Venus at 19° Aries squares retrograde Pluto at 19° Capricorn.

The perigee New Moon (the Moon is now closest to the Earth) represents a SuperMoon so that some extreme weather is likely here and there.

The waxing Venus-Pluto square wants to conquer, often in too forceful a way.

Beware of rape and/or physical abuse.

Also, don't be too fanatic and try to be gentle and accommodating so to avoid clashes and power conflicts.

Mars at 25° Gemini opposes retrograde Saturn at 25° Sagittarius around May 28-29.

This opposition between two opposing forces indicates strong self-confidence, even some arrogance and ruthlessness as well.

Your activities and actions go against the traditional and conservative norms.

You are quite critical and intolerant.

You can't hide there is someone or something you can't stand.

In mutable signs, this opposition is accident-prone; resulting in work-related accidents, traffic- or transportation accidents -- often because of overexertion, over-strain, overdoing and/or over-fatigue.

Men Married "Late"

In this article we present our preliminary astrological research results pertaining to men who married for the first time after the age of 45.

We had a hard time finding accurate birth information of men who married later in life for the first time.

With the help of the Astrodatabank and additional online research we were able to gather accurate birth information of 20 male natal charts.

Twenty natal charts is not enough to do any serious research but it's a good beginning anyway and interesting to find out if we can find anything that already jumps out.

We were eager to test some medieval aphorisms to find out if they are valid.

The first medieval aphorism reads as follows:

"The Moon in the western hemisphere (houses 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9) in a male nativity indicates marrying late or marrying an older women".

This is a tricky aphorism to research because it contains two conditions only one of which we were able to research.

We do not have the ages of the partner at the time of marriage, so that you need to take our results with a grain of salt for now.

In our research we found the Moon to be evenly spread (10 - 10) suggesting this medieval aphorism misses the mark.

When looking at the other planets and bodies there were no standouts, except for... Saturn!

In 16 out of the 20 cases, Saturn was in the eastern hemisphere! (chi square 3.6)

Though not too statistically significant, Saturn's position is absolutely remarkable the more so because it indicates age, time, delays.

Saturn is definitely part of some planetary picture describing late marriages in a male horoscope.

-------Sidebar -----------
By the way, statistics is not too good a tool to investigate astrology because it only involves single (astrological) conditions whereas we need to find a whole chain of different astrological conditions that build a signature representing late marriages.

One swallow does not make a summer; you can't read the cover of a puzzle by analyzing just one piece of it.

There can be numerous different signatures that represent the same event, trait or characteristic and we need to find all these chains by blending numerous astrological conditions and configurations together to find the ones that cannot be found in the control groups.

Unfortunately, there is yet NO astrological software in the world that is able to just combine and blend all these different conditions and compare them with control groups.

Perhaps we would need quantum computers to get all these calculations done and hundreds of programmers to write such software, but as long we don't have these tools, we will have to cope with hits and misses in our astrological research.
-------Sidebar -----------

A second medieval aphorism reads as follows:

"The Moon in the 1st or 3rd Quadrant (houses 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 or 9) in the horoscope of a male nativity indicates marrying late or marrying an older woman."

This one too is a tricky aphorism to research because it contains two conditions only one of which we were able to research.

We do not have the ages of the partner at the time of marriage, so that you need to take our results with a grain of salt for now.

Our research results has shown 12 charts (out of 20) having the Moon in the 2nd and 4th Quadrant and only 8 in the 1st and 3rd Quadrant!

Though not (statistically) significant, it looks like our preliminary results oppose the medieval saying.

On the other hand, when looking at the position of the other planets and bodies in the Quadrants, only the position of the Sun was important: in 16 cases out of 20 the Sun was in the 1st or 3rd Quadrant (8 in the 1st Quadrant and 8 in the 3rd Quadrant).

Something to take into account.

What else did we find?

In 16 cases out of the 20 natal charts, the Moon was in a cardinal house (houses 1, 4, 7 or 10) (chi square 6.1).

Though not too statistically significant, this astrological condition may be part of another chain of astrological conditions representing a late marriage in a male nativity.

Some other findings:
  • the (modern) ruler of the 10th house is in the 3rd house (chi square 15.1)
  • the dispositor of Pluto is in a Ptolemaic aspect with the Moon (orb 6°) (chi square 32.3)
  • the ruler of the 9th (Topocentric) house sextile the ruler of the 7th house (orb 6°) (chi square 52.9)
  • the ruler of the (Topocentric) 11th house is in a Ptolemaic aspect with the ruler of the 9th (Topocentric) house (orb 6°) (chi square 18.0)
  • Chiron is opposite the MC (orb 30°; yes indeed 30°) (chi square 48.6)
  • the dispositor of Saturn is in the 12th house (chi square 22.1)
  • Chiron is in the 6th house (chi square 22.1)
  • Mercury is opposite Juno (orb 30°) (chi square 52.9)
  • Mercury squares Neptune (orb 30°) (chi square 32.3)
  • the Moon is opposite or 150° apart from Saturn (orb 30°) (chi square 22.1)
  • in the 45° dial/list the following midpoints were important:
    • Vesta/MC = AS (chi square 115.2)
    • Juno/MC = mean North Node of the Moon (chi square 22.1)
    • JU/Vesta = MA (chi square 5.4)
    • SO/Ceres = JU (chi square 5.4)
    • JU/Ceres = Vesta (chi square 32.3)
  • Venus first rises before Neptune (chi square 22.1)
  • the ruler of the 12th (Topocentric) house conjunct the ruler of the 5th house (orb 6°) (chi square 22.1)
  • ruler of the 8th (Topocentric) house sextile Uranus (orb 6°) (chi square 16.0)
  • the (modern) ruler of the 5th house in the 7th house (chi square 32.2)
  • Neptune is in the 7th house (chi square 28.0) or opposite the Ascendant (chi square 48.6)
  • Neptune is in a cardinal house (houses 1, 4, 7 or 10) (chi square 9.3)
  • the Moon and Vesta in the same zodiac sign (chi square 52.9)
  • the Moon opposite Ceres (orb 10°) (chi square 32.3) or the Moon and Ceres in opposing zodiac signs (chi square 115.2!)
