CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #222 -- The Natal Houses Defining the Different Marriage Partners
May 21, 2023
Dear

It looks like June is another roller coaster month, loaded with weather issues and possible internet outages here and there, among others.

There are two planetary stations (Saturn and Neptune, both in Pisces) and Pluto returns into (re)strict(ive) and corporate Capricorn for the rest of the year.

The decay continues...

In our featured article we discuss our opinion about the natal houses that are supposed to define the different marriage partners and marriages.

Most lovingly

In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around June 5, 11-12, 18-19 and/or 26.

During this month of June there are the following specific planetary configurations of stationing outer planets that might affect some specific birthdays in particular:
  • If you are born around January 4, February 17, April 3-4, May 20, July 6, August 22, October 7 or November 21, this month is about keeping a low profile.

Some of you may even prefer to disappear, flee away and/or withdraw.

You may feel lost at times but may also gain new insights and develop yourself spiritually.

Beware of water-related issues and/or medication or drugs that may turn out to be toxic for your body.

Some of you may be swayed by some external situation/circumstance and if you are a woman, it's also possible your partner might leave your world and/or, if you are pregnant, the odds are you may face some health challenges.

  • If you are born around February 2, March 19, May 4, June 20, August 6, September 21, November 6 or December 20, this month might bring a reality check.

There can be material and/or physical hardship with some illness or health-issues popping up.

It's unlikely you will fly high this month and you will have to keep a sobering look on everything for now.

  • If you are born around February 7, March 24, May 9, June 25, August 11, September 27, November 11 or December 25, this month might bring plain hard (physical) work.

For some of you this will result in physical restrictions like having back pain or having to cope with bone issues or some ailments etc.

Despite any hardship, you are tenacious though.

  • If you are born around January 22, March 8, April 22, June 8, July 25, September 10, October 26 or December 9, this month is about dissatisfaction, not feeling well and even feeling ill.

  • If you are born around January 15, February 28, April 14-15, May 31, July 17, September 2, October 18 or December 2, this month brings profound changes, a milestone in life (for good or ill).
Generally speaking, June 17 and 30 are "less lucky" days.

Try not to initiate any major projects on these dark, unfortunate, chaotic and empty days (no proposals, no marriages, no changes of residence,...) because things may not go as planned or wished.

In the 45° dial, there are the following powerful midpoint combos between outer planets going on that will be exact this month and that will mark this month's Zeitgeist: Uranus hits the Jupiter/Saturn midpoint (UR = JU/SA), the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint equals the Saturn/Neptune midpoint (JU/PL = SA/NE), Neptune hits the Jupiter/Uranus midpoint (NE = JU/UR), the Saturn/Uranus midpoint equals the Neptune/Pluto midpoint (SA/UR = NE/PL), and the Uranus/Neptune midpoint equals the Pluto/Chiron midpoint (UR/NE = PL/CH).

Let's take a look now what these planetary pictures tell about this month's Zeitgeist.

The UR = JU/SA midpoint suggests, among others: the damage to buildings, engine trouble, tons of stress and irritation, a very sudden collapse, an unexpected change of course, the change of residence or career, to need more independence, the terrible upsets with the status of things, to pursue more leisurely and personal activities, the sudden changes abruptly influencing your lifestyle.

The JU/PL = SA/NE planetary picture on the other hand suggests, among others: power to the poor, the political changes going towards communism/socialism, to lose it all.

The NE = JU/UR midpoint indicates, among others: to enjoy music or concerts, to be disappointed, to be stoned or intoxicated, not taking into account reality in the pursuit of your dreams, visualizing new ideas or products to make this world a better place, the delusion about improving life through constant modernization, to become inspired and/or gain added awareness.

The SA/UR = NE/PL combination is more difficult to delineate but, among others, it might coincide with the following events or traits: to obstruct betrayal, the tension and stress caused by secret societies, to block or oppose drugs or medication or chemicals etc., to be jailed.

Following astrometeorological principles, this midpoint structure might indicate (thunder) storm combined with lots of rain.

The UR/NE = PL/CH planetary combination that is exact around June 30, but might work out the whole month and in July as well, is indicative of, among others: the internet outages, websites being down worldwide (this is almost a given).

There is a huge uncertainty about how the future will develop.

Following astrometeorology, most of these midpoint combos also coincide with lots of rain, water-related issues, inundations, floods, maritime disasters etc.

Let's also repeat what we mentioned in our previous monthly forecast, Neptune remains at the last three degrees in the sign Pisces.

We repeat that anytime a planet transits the last three degrees of a zodiac sign, it starts to manifest some of the traits and characteristics of the next sign (in this case Aries).

This suggests we are very slowly entering a more active period of time during which ideals are being fought for and plans are being carried out.

However, the last three degrees of Pisces are also known as "drowning degrees" (literally and figuratively: through water, work or other situations and experiences).

Hence, on a mundane level, we are also entering a period of time that may coincide with lots of water-related issues, maritime issues, floods and inundations, among others.

Additionally, the last Pisces degrees are highly unstable degrees that often coincide with mental confusion, and also so-called mental illnesses, reflecting a Zeitgeist of mental confusion and emotional vulnerability.

Around June 1-2, Jupiter and the true Lunar North Node meet at 3° Taurus (the mean Lunar Node was already exactly conjunct Jupiter at 2° Taurus around May 27).

Financially speaking, this combination might increase the cash flow (for good or ill).

This conjunction tends to increase (material and/or financial) confidence and the belief that everything is okay.

Because the degree area is a sociable one, this aspect increases the odds of enjoyable social gatherings, celebrations, with (large) groups of people getting together.

There are sunny spells around the same day of June 1.

Mercury and Uranus conjoin at 20° Taurus around the June 4 Full Moon, suggesting a noisy period with sudden changes of course, changing opinions or ideas and breaking news.

You may be surprised to hear some people getting together and bond, while others may be under pressure or force to get out of their comfort zone.

Some of you may be forced to leave or quit the place and/or travel, despite (initial) resistance.

There can be disagreements and/or disputes going on and not all meetings will be peaceful.

Following astrometeorology, beware of strong wind and/or stormy weather here and there.

Around June 5, Venus enters playful Leo and opposes Pluto.

This can be a very fertile combo, resulting in pregnancies.

However, for some of you, it might indicate a (mental and/or emotional) crisis situation, resulting in divorce or separation from a loved one.

In other words, this period may bring some of you out of balance.

Beware of (financial) blackmail also.

Venus and Mars are now both in fiery Leo, triggering the love life of all fire signs (especially Leo, of course, but also Aries and Sagittarius) as well as those of you having Aquarius rising (on the Ascendant).

These passionate influences will last till mid July 2023, so, do enjoy.

The days around June 6-7 can become very turbulent with lots going on.

Following astrometeorology, there can be lots of precipitation, water-related issues, floods or inundations here and there.

Venus at 3° Leo squares the true Lunar Nodes around June 8, suggesting some issues relating harmoniously to others.

Getting in contact with others may not go smoothly now.

Around June 10, you may feel irritated, be forced or compelled to travel or make a trip or change the place, and/or face a separation or a dissolving situation.

Some of you may also have to cancel some of your plans and/or face unfulfilled wishes.

If you are born around January 4, February 17, April 4, May 20, July 6, August 22, October 7 or November 21, these influences may especially affect you.

Around the same day of June 10, there are sunny spells first but later it gets cloudy.

Around June 11, retrograde Pluto re-enters corporate and strict Capricorn while Mercury enters Gemini and Venus at 5° Leo squares Jupiter at 5° Taurus.

Retrograde Pluto in Capricorn ignites more authoritarian and forceful influences again and focuses on restrictions, limitations, boundaries, governments, the corporate and banking world.

These influences will slowly increase again so that censorship is likely to continue (or increase) and freedom-loving actions will be suppressed yet more from now on.

Pluto is now square the position of the April 20 Solar Eclipse that happened at 29° Aries.

This denotes that Pluto may revive some of the Eclipse's influences till Pluto leaves the degree area of 29° Capricorn on July 28, 2023.

Because Pluto is not a trigger "planet", other planets at 29° in a sign in the weeks to come will certainly trigger Pluto's intensity.

The entrance of Mercury in the most unstable sign of the zodiac (Gemini) is indicative of lots of travel, changes of the place, feeling nowhere at home, changing the residence, and it marks an unstable and nervous period.

Beware of theft or being misled but also expect some news from siblings or neighbors.

The waxing Venus-Jupiter square reinforces these unstable trends and changes, making some of you feel more insecure.

You feel pressed between the old and the new and seem not yet to be able to get settled.

Beware of expenses and/or financial losses and don't exaggerate too much.

Now that Mercury has left Taurus, there no longer is a stellium in Taurus so that the lives of Geminis (or those of you having Gemini rising) will be less treacherous.

However, still beware of people working behind your back or things going on in secret or behind closed doors.

It's also possible for some of you Geminis or Gemini rising, the partner will be ill or someone being hospitalized.

Around the same day of June 11, expect a very hectic day, with lots of interventions, activities, buzz.

Following mundane astrology, the current astrological configurations point to lots of (traffic and/or transportation) accidents.

Around June 13, there are clouds in the sky, and here and there it can be very overcast with minor showers.

There are sunny spells around June 14.

Mercury at 7° Gemini squares Saturn at 7° Pisces around June 15.

This waxing square suggests dissatisfaction, restlessness, mental and nervous tension, pessimism, feeling down a bit, unfulfilled longings and plans.

Some of you may feel confused and you should beware of fake news and/or false information.

Following astrometeorology, it might be overcast or cloudy here and there.

Saturn stations at 7° Pisces around June 17 and starts to go backward.

Stationing Saturn often coincides with something or someone tumbling down (literally or figuratively), falling from a height, and/or facing some restrictions or blockages (from whatever kind).

Following astrometeorology, it may be overcast, cloudy and cooler weather here and there.

Some of you may feel quite tired, especially if you are Capricorn or have Capricorn rising.

Capricorns and those of you having Capricorn rising may not feel too well and things may not go as wished for.

Some of you may feel down a bit too.

Try to rest or get enough sleep anyway.

Around the June 18 New Moon, the Sun at 27° Gemini squares Neptune at 27° Pisces, pointing to issues about poisons, poisoning and toxic stuff, intoxication, allergies and being sensitive physically to some products you should rather avoid.

Beware of infections as well.

Some of you may feel very weak and it seems this period is about lacking zest overall.

The Sun enters home- and family-minded Cancer around June 21.

It's time to focus on the domestic area.

Around June 24, there are sunny spells first and later it gets cloudy.

Mercury at 27° Gemini squares Neptune at 27° Pisces around June 25.

With both planets in their own sign, this waxing square presents confusion, inattention, miscommunication and errors being made.

Information or documents can be unreliable or redacted, questioning the validity.

Following astrometeorology, there can be local fog here and there.

Around the June 26 First Quarter Moon, Mars at 21° Leo squares Uranus at 21° Taurus while Mercury enters domestic Cancer.

Any Mars-Uranus aspect reflects issues about anger so that this aspect signifies an increased risk of violence, accidents etc. causing physical injuries.

The Mars-Uranus square is waxing and thus provocative and quite destructive, causing damage (on a material or physical level).

When Mercury, the messenger, enters domestic and maternal Cancer, it often coincides with getting in contact with the mother or getting news from the mother and/or visiting the mother.

For some of you, the entrance of Mercury in Cancer will mark a move, a change of residence though.

Around June 28, there are clouds in the sky first with sunny spells later on.

Around June 28-29, there is separation from a loved one (for whatever reason) and some of you may experience a distance in your relationships.

If you are born around February 8, March 25, May 10, June 26, August 12, September 27, November 12 or December 26, this may especially apply to you.

Neptune stations around June 30 at 27° Pisces and goes retrograde.

If you are Pisces or have Pisces rising, your life may feel stuck a bit and things may not go as wished for.

You may feel below par or lack zest.

Retrograde Neptune is much more realistic, less dreamy and illusive but because of the station, beware of deceptions, big disappointments and confusion just around this period.

Don't expect too much and keep grounded.

Some of you may feel particularly tired around the station, so try to get enough rest and/or sleep.

Retrograde Neptune is told to bring more artistic and creative insight and abilities though.

Following astrometeorology, stationing Neptune often coincides with lots of rainfall or precipitation here and there.

What's New on Our Web Site?

We added a page about the natal Sun Mercury connections which we discussed in our previous Love Letter.

We updated the page about the (love) life of Kevin Costner with the news about his wife filing for divorce after 18+ years of marriage.

Notice they were married when the April 2004 Solar Eclipse at 29° Aries was active and the divorce request happens during the April 2023 Solar Eclipse at 29° Aries again (finishing this part of the metonic cycle as the next two Solar Eclipses in the same cycle take place at 0° Taurus!).

If you still doubt our lives are programmed...;)

The Natal Houses Defining the Different Marriage Partners

One of the many topics we are researching has to do with finding the houses in the natal horoscope that describe all the different marriage partners or marriages.

While there is no debate that the 1st marriage (and marriage partner) is assigned to the 7th house, determining the houses that describe the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or other marriages and marriage partners, is another story entirely.

Different astrologers come to different conclusions because relationships are a very complex matter also that cannot always be described or nailed down by a single house, aspect or astrological configuration.

Let's take a look at what some astrologers have found or what their opinion is:
  • Carol Rushman, in her book "The art of predictive astrology", explains her system that the late Louise Ivy taught her: the next marriage is always 5 houses away from the original or initial house.

This means that the 2nd marriage is 5 houses away from the 7th house (pointing to the 11th house to describe the 2nd marriage).

The 3rd marriage is 5 houses away from the 11th house of 2nd marriage (pointing to the 3rd house to describe the 3rd marriage).

The reasoning behind this method is unclear but Carol claims this rule worked out in her life.

However, she still finds that you must always look to the 7th house too because it always sets the tone for any marriage.

  • Other astrologers, like Ronald Davison, the late Robert P. Blaschke and lots of others, count 3 houses from the initial house so that the 9th house describes the 2nd marriage, the 11th house describes the 3rd marriage etc.

The reasoning is based upon the derivative house system which relates each house to every other.

The first marriage falls under the domain of the 7th house and any divorce, which is a legal court matter, is told to be ruled by the 9th house.

The 9th house counting from the 7th house is the 3rd house and thus a divorced person, they claim, falls under the 3rd house.

When the person marries a second time, we have to count 7 houses away from that 3rd house to tell something about the 2nd marriage; which brings us to the 9th house.
We at Cosmic Technologies, have not found the above mentioned house systems to work consistently well.

Especially the 2nd method, assigning the 9th house to the 2nd marriage, is unconvincing and makes no sense to us.

When you are divorced, you don't become "a legal case" (which this method links to the 3rd house), neither does your ex.

Counting 9 houses from the 7th house only tells something about legal matters related to a marriage and/or the marriage partner, among others, not about yourself (because your matters are ruled by the 1st house still).

The 7th house represents the marriage but also the marriage partner and when you personally initiate a legal case, the derivative house systems tell that you then have to start counting from the 1st house (which represents yourself).

So, in that case the rule may not fully apply.

Why not using the "end-of-the-matter" 4th house counting from the 7th instead of the legal 9th house to try to find the next marriage partner?

There clearly are some issues and inconsistencies present assigning a house to the next marriage partner.

Using the derivative house system always links or relates one person or topic to another.

When looking for your 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. marriage partner, it's still YOUR partner so that any derivative houses should start counting from the 1st house (your personal house).

The derivative house system has to be used wisely and with common sense.

This makes that, in our opinion and from our yet inconclusive research, the next marriage partner is still part of a 7th house matter (if we are compelled to find a house representing the other marriage partners, that is, it should remain the 7th so far).

After all, the 7th house is a cardinal air house that also represents (superficial, non-committal) encounters and meetings (in the widest sense), with many persons and partners; not only the significant other(s).

Cardinal houses (and signs) don't "bond", like fixed houses and signs do, but just "trigger" and initiate.

We do question whether or not another marriage should be assigned to a specific house though.

Following the theory propagated by the German School of Transpersonal Astrology, a marriage is not a matter of a house as such but a matter of the 3rd Quadrant (houses, 7, 8 and 9) as a whole: the 7th house reflects the encounter and meeting of the significant other, the 8th house reflects the emotional bond because it's a fixed water house, and the 9th house reflects the accompanying publicity.

This theory makes perfectly sense and does not assign marriage partners beyond the 3rd Quadrant.

Different astrologers (especially the ancient ones like Ptolemy) suggest the marriage partners and marriages are not described by the houses but by the planetary contacts (especially the ones involving the Lights, the Sun and the Moon).

We at Cosmic Technologies feel there is way more to say about this "rule" but have not found such rules to consistently work out well either.

However, we are still investigating the rules because some bring surprising results even though not consistently.

The ruler (and co-ruler!) of the 7th house too may have something to say here, as well as all the planets or bodies in the 7th house.

Because the essence of the other marriages and marriage partners are not always known publicly or written about in biographies, this is a difficult topic to research actually.

In other words, what makes each partner or marriage different and how to reliably relate these to astrological archetypes and principles, is not easy.

To be continued later for sure.
