CosmiTec's Love Letter, Issue #065 -- Aspects to Venus in the Natal Chart
April 21, 2010
Hi

Because we are slowly entering a new era thanks to the transit of slow-moving Uranus into Aries, we take a closer look at what this may signify in a general way.

Also, with three planetary stations late May, this month may become quite eventful too.

In this Love Letter we also delineate the planetary aspects to natal Venus, planet of love and relationships.

Love Forecasts for May 2010

If you are born around January 31-February 1, March 17, May 2, June 18, August 4, September 20, November 4 or December 18 there will be changes of the place around May 1. You may be alone, but not lonely. For some of you a trip or travel is on the agenda.

May 3-4 brings challenges and even rebellion if you are born around February 2, March 19, May 4, June 20, August 6, September 19, November 6 or December 20. You will fight against your fate or will try to find an outlet for stress and tension. There may be overexertion and anxiety about how things will get on. Expect lots of upheaval.

If you are born around March 4-5, June 4-5, September 6-7 or December 6-7 there is love's sorrow around May 6. There may also be unrequited love and you may rather feel inhibited in your social activities. You may feel deluded in love too. If you are pregnant and are born around the before-mentioned days, there may be some complications manifesting.

Mercury stations around May 12, ready to move forward again at 2° Taurus. It's time for additional income or financial windfalls. In materialistic Taurus, Mercury is interested in and concerned about food and hard goods, possessions and money.

Around May 17, Venus at 26° Gemini squares Jupiter at 26° Pisces. You may be cautious and reserved in matters of love. You tend to withdraw and feel good at home. You may question your lover more easily during this transit.

Actually, Venus will also square Saturn at 27° Virgo around May 18 so that it is the apex planet of the T-Square in mutable signs. Venus between Jupiter and Saturn is more home-bound, less outgoing but may also point to infidelity. This may be especially so if you are born around March 18-19, June 19-20, September 20-21 or December 19-20. Clearly, your love life may be under stress till Venus enters emotional Cancer around May 20.

In home-loving Cancer, Venus wants to stay at home, wants to make home a better and more enjoyable place to live. The problem with Venus in this highly sensitive water sign is that it brings too much vaccilating influences into your love life. You become too emotionally involved in other people and feel the ups and downs in an exaggerated way. In other words, you may easily feel hurt. You cling to your lover and will live all the insecurities of the other one too.

The Sun enters Gemini around May 21 resulting in more changes of the place and short trips.

Around May 23, Jupiter at 27° Pisces opposes Saturn at 27° Virgo. While the opposition is an aspect of separation and what is out of reach, Jupiter and Saturn too are opposites. Jupiter wants to broaden while Saturn wants to limit. Jupiter wants to open up while Saturn closes. Jupiter reflects the open horizon while Saturn represents the wall. Jupiter looks forward, Saturn clings to the past. When two opposing forces are opposite each other, there is a short-circuit, resulting in a standstill. Patience is the password to overcome the standstill caused by Jupiter and Saturn.

Venus at 4° Cancer opposes Pluto at 4° Capricorn around May 24. When Pluto's intensity opposes Venus, planet of love and relationships, you may expect a huge pressure coming from outside and intruding your (love) life. It may go as far as violence and rape. Females are warned to be very vigilant with whom they have a date.

Uranus enters Aries around May 28 for the first time (soon, it will retrogress into Pisces again) bringing us a sneak preview of what it will bring later on in 2011 when it enters Aries definitely for years to come. When one of the outer and slow-moving planets changes a sign, the influence will be felt on a mundane level in many ways and worldwide. In case it also aspects personal points in your natal chart, you will feel the influence personally too.

You can find out what the transit of Uranus in Aries will bring by blending all the different meanings of Uranus with the meanings of Aries.

Disruptive and groundbreaking Uranus in pioneering Aries might be one of the most innovative positions imagineable. Also, Uranus and Aries act instantly and abruptedly so that most events will happen in a flash. As a cardinal fire signs, Aries loves fireworks and that's exactly what Uranus in Aries will bring.

The 1st degree Aries is a very important degree as it marks the start of everything (brand new) and is the most impulsive, eruptive and initiating degree of the zodiac, just living its own primary and instinctive urges. No doubt Uranus in this degree is about novelties and surprising discoveries which reflect the meaning of this planet too. It will enlighten and will bring huge changes, revolutionary inventions and news that will spread rapidly (instantly!). Speak about instant news, and you will get it. No doubt, the position of Uranus in Aries will renew quite a lot in the world, even if it may shake, move and shock a lot too.

Because the 1st degree in cardinal signs is above all and in general related to the European continent (as history has shown), the most important events will likely happen in Europe too.

The 1st degree Aries is also a very military degree. Spectacular events related to the police or military are likely (causing quite some interventions). And, by the way, it's an explosive and eruptive degree also. Stress and hectic moments will increase -- often causing lots of panic -- because nobody has seen "the event" coming (whatever the event may be).

Around May 30, Saturn will station at 27° Virgo and will turn direct at this work-related degree. Your focus is on employment, work and how to cope with the daily living circumstances.

Around May 31, Venus at 13° Cancer opposes the Moon's North Node while Neptune at 28° Aquarius stations and starts to move backwards. This configuration may bring some sadness and grief and is of a dissolving nature. You may have to let (a) beloved one(s) go.

Aspects to Venus in the Natal Chart

Venus is the general significator for love and relationships in a natal horoscope. Through the aspects with other points and planets, Venus is "colored", shapen and molded -- and so is your love life. All planetary aspects from another point or planet to natal Venus have a particular signification for your love life. Below we will delineate all planetary aspects, but only in their purest form. That is to say that we only delineate the planetary principles without the intervention of another (3rd or 4th or...) planet or body. In other words, we only blend TWO planetary principles, modified by the aspects. Let's take a look.

Sun-Venus
The Sun and Venus can never be more than 48° apart, building only a conjunction, semi-sextile or semi-square. When one of these three aspects are exact, Venus beautifies the body (represented by the Sun), except when the conjunction is exact within 16' (orb no more than 0°16'). In some instances the outer appearance of the native becomes a focus point in the life of the native one way or the other. The native may have a big ego and be proud of him- or herself. The tight conjunction may denote a huge difficulty to find Mr. or Ms. Right. The native is too much in love with love.

The semi-sextile seems to bring or indicate early love experiences and often a happy youth.

The semi-square between the Sun and Venus may denote a distance between your lover (often due to work). The native may have a responsible job that takes lots of his or her time.

Moon-Venus
Any aspect between both points make the native rather naive and emotionally fickle. There may be a need to be mothered. In many instances, any aspect between both points may result in possessive behavior and the need to touch (except when the Moon squares or inconjuncts Venus that may show reluctancy and even aversion to touch the other).

Mercury-Venus
Both planets can never be more than 78° apart, only building a conjunction, semi-sextile, semi-square, sextile or a Quintile (72°). It brings quite some charm and quite often a beautiful voice too. It's one of the most diplomatic combinations, detesting harsh arguments and disputes. The native is able to talk you into something. It may be a highly seductive aspect.

Venus-Mars
The sextile and trine aspect bring lots of charm (even more than the Mercury-Venus aspects). The native is perfectly able to look after him- or herself, especially when there is a conjunction between both planets. The square and inconjunct point to disagreements between men and women and may bring difficulties in the love life and/or marriage. Not all your love needs will be met. It may point to infidelity too (not always from the native, it may also be related to the partner). The square aspect brings turbulent relationships. The expectations regarding the own love life run too high.

Venus-Jupiter
Any aspect between Fortuna minor (Venus) and Fortuna Major (Jupiter) is still considered positive. However, with Jupiter there is a possibility to overdo, to exaggerate. Anyway, it's a highly popular combination that makes the native well-known and popular, whatever the aspect. You easily admire other people and your partner. The square between Venus and Jupiter denotes a separation, eventually that the partner may die first. The native has to learn that each person is responsible for his or her own deeds.

Venus-Saturn
Venus and Saturn never blend well, in whatever aspect they are. Saturn is too cold and distant for Venus who enjoys company. So, even when Venus and Saturn are sextile or trine each other, expect quite some difficulties and especially restrictions in your love life. The sextile and trine aspects (and in a minor way the conjunction) delay love but never deny it. Love only comes later in life (and in some cases very late!). You may be a very hard worker and a very responsible one too. Also, all aspects between Venus and Saturn bring disappointing love experiences leaving you wonder if you will ever find Mr. or Ms. Right.

The square and opposition (and sometimes the conjunction too, depending on other aspects) bring bitter love experiences. You may feel or be rejected, feel inadequate and it often happens that as a result you start to build a wall that nobody can pull down anymore. In many instances we have found that, whatever the aspect, there may be a huge age difference between the partners and/or some severe sacrifices that have to be done. Love hurts when these planets blend together. Also, the native with such an aspect is very willing to sacrifice his or her life for the partner and will often feel obliged to help the other too.

Whatever the aspect, both planets together never indicate a flamboyant love union. Instead, it's one of deep and loyal friendship, responsibility, trust and sincere feelings (especially with the conjunction, sextile or trine). The inconjunct points to separations, divorce etc.

Venus-Uranus
The conjunction, square and opposition denote the need to feel totally free, and pull away from an intimate love union. These are separative aspects resulting in separation, divorce or not seeing each other often. The other aspects are freedom-loving too but can handle it in a more charming way. The native cannot stand to be too long with someone else or with the same person. The relationship cools down quickly when the emotional bond grows. There often is love at first sight but also short-lived love experiences. All aspects are related to dancing and rhythms which the natives love. In many ways, both planets together bring something weird or unusual to the relationship: a huge age difference between the partners, lovers from a totally different (social) background or culture, etc.

Venus-Neptune
The aspects between both planets are more related to artistic and creative characteristics so that love is lived on a more supra-personal higher level. In many instances, the native has it difficult to live in reality and builds dreams resulting in high expectations and disappointments. The native is not too much interested in sex but can live love in a platonic way. Both planets together are about (non-physical) romance. The opposition aspect denotes love that dissolves or that is totally out of reach.

Venus-Pluto
Any combinations between both points brings indulging intensity in your relationships and love life. In lots of cases jealousy and possessiveness mark the relationship. Love unions may have cobweb-like traits, resulting in unhealthy and devastating entanglements. Both planets blended together may denote a huge fear of rejection, often resulting in clingy behavior (either from the native or from the partner). Also, relationships tend to change over and over from love into hate, hot into (ice-)cold. Any aspect creates a guilty feeling towards the love union.

The inconjunct often denotes the death of a lover and denotes a severe emotional burden. The opposition is highly forceful and emotionally pushy. The square aspect between both planets is ruthless.
