Click here to download the January 2026 calendar in pdf format. In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around January 2, 8, 16, 23 and/or 29-30. During this month of January there are the following planetary configurations of stationing outer planets that might affect some specific birthdays:
Try not to initiate any major projects on these dark, unfortunate, chaotic and empty days (no proposals, no marriages, no changes of residence,...) because things may not go as planned or wished. However, this stellium in Capricorn (that will linger on without Venus till January 20) represents a treacherous period for Aquarians and those of you having Aquarius rising (until January 20 that is). You may not feel too well, be ill or feel confined. Also, there may be a lot going on behind closed doors or behind your back and you better prepare for gossip, trouble, not being able to prove yourself, being held back. Following astrometeorology, a stellium in Capricorn drops the temperatures profoundly in the northern hemisphere and coincides with very dry weather in the southern hemisphere. Following mundane astrology, a stellium in corporate and governmental Capricorn emphasizes rules and regulations, restrictions and even more censorship as well. Only accomplishments and obligations count, and being dutiful and productive. No time for pleasure just now. Around January 1, Mercury at 29° Sagittarius squares Neptune at 29° Pisces right before Mercury enters Capricorn around midnight (MET Time Zone). When Mercury is in a waning square with Neptune, there often is kind of an exodus going on, people fleeing, running away, quitting and/or travelling (for whatever reason). Most waning Mercury-Neptune squares reflect lies, betrayal, deception, not being to-the-point or accurate. Beware of being careless or inattentive and don't be blinded by misleading inaccuracies and empty promises. When Mercury is at 0° Capricorn, it usually coincides with an official statement, an announcement or a governmental message but it may also point to a corporate letter or message about a new beginning or regulation. Chiron stations at 22° Aries and turns direct around January 2, often coinciding with strikes, manifestations and protests, even uproar. There can be obstructions here and there and expect some things to break down. This degree area coincides with speedy, very quick actions, events or experiences that spread quickly too (like a blast, wildfire, something that gets triggered or ignited instantly and gets 'out' immediately). Following astrometeorology, stationing Chiron above average coincides with extreme weather conditions and even emergency situations. In Winter, this may indicate snow blizzards and/or ice. The January 3 perigee Full Moon at 13° Cancer (a SuperMoon indeed), is a very public one, with revelations, things coming out and even going viral during this week. Something will be released, disclosed, made known, become public and/or can no longer be kept private or secret. If you are born around January 2-3, January 31 - February 1, March 2-3, April 1-2, May 2-3, June 2-3, July 3-4, August 4-5, September 4-5, October 5-6, November 4-5 or December 3-4, the current astrological configurations suggest, among others: flirts, enjoying the company of someone or of others, (a) celebration(s), to connect and bond, the artistic and creative appeal. There are sunny spells around January 4. Around January 5-6, the current astrological configurations indicate, among others: lost love, unrequited love, the abuse and/or betrayal, the surgery, to feel down or sad, to go missing or hiding, to feel or be misunderstood, to indulge in something, to feel drained. If you are a pregnant woman, the current astrological configurations may also point to a possible miscarriage. If you are born around January 6, February 19-20, April 5-6, May 22, July 8, August 24, October 9 or November 23, these configurations might affect you most. Following mundane astrology, the current pattern suggests the leave-taking of a politician or celebrity or VIP, likely under mysterious circumstances. Following astrometeorology, the current configurations may indicate heavy precipitation here and there. Please note, there are NO planetary aspects active around January 5, suggesting this day is a wildcard that may go unbelievably well and bring lots of succes(es) or go terribly wrong. It all depends on your own natal horoscope. The Sun and Venus meet at 16° Capricorn around January 6, indicating an enjoyable encounter or meeting. Some of you may receive a nice package, gift or surprise. Between January 8-10, there is a T-square active, hitting 18°-21° in cardinal signs (Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) during which the Sun, Venus and Mars all conjoin and together oppose Jupiter. The Moon will be the apex body but let us talk about this special configuration and unravel the different factors separately first, not to overwhelm you too much all at once. After the Sun-Venus conjunction we talked about a second ago, Venus will meet Mars at 18° Capricorn around January 8. Regular readers of our monthly forecasts may already know in the meantime that ALL Venus-Mars aspects (and especially the conjunctions) point to issues with keeping boundaries, crossing lines. In natal charts, such conjunctions may point to very spontaneous people (often too 'spontaneous', almost literally bumping into someone and neglecting the boundaries of others) and in mundane astrology this is the same, but experienced on a higher level. Hence, this is not a peaceful combination and rather points to clashes and crashes. People may become physical, violent, and cars and vehicles or material goods too are likely to clash and crash. Hence, traffic or transportation accidents and explosive violence may be expected here and there. The degree area of 18° Capricorn emphasizes these principles and points to resistance, arguing, tense disputes, playing the rebel, being contrary. Legal issues will skyrocket this month! It's a hectic period in time full of strive coming from all quarters. Additionally, there are deadlines to be taken into account, increasing pressure to act or decide, in whatever way. Only patience and resilience will bring you through this busy period in time. Around January 9, the Sun and Mars meet at 19° Capricorn while Venus at 20° Capricorn opposes Jupiter at 20° Cancer. Following mundane astrology, the Sun-Mars conjunction at a very explosive degree may indicate just that: violence, crashes, explosions (whatever the cause). Following astrometeorology, there are clouds in the sky. Moreover, the current T-square even increases the odds of intense storm, blizzards, heavy showers here and there but also fire hazards. The Venus-Jupiter opposition suggests expenses, financial losses, legal issues in relationships or partnerships. Indeed, this whole T-square period indicates an intense legal battle for sure. Around the January 10 Last Quarter Moon at 20° Capricorn, the Sun and Mars together at 20° Capricorn oppose Jupiter, still at 20° Cancer. This lunation makes the T-square now perfect. Following mundane astrology, the degree area of this lunation points to (very) passionate and intense involvements for good or bad (people merging but also departing). This degree area is a very transformative one, in whatever way, from very painful, emotionally, to very happy. On a more personal level and in matters of love and romance, the whole lunation period between January 8-11, will certainly present quite an unforgettable time for some of you. Aside from legal battles for some of you, there will be extremely auspicious events going on as well (the more so if natal Saturn is not aspecting this degree area): childbirths, getting pregnant, proposals, marriages, irresistible physical attractions with consequences,... This T-square between the Sun, Venus, Mars, Jupiter building up before and becoming exact around the Last Quarter Moon will especially affect you if you are born between January 8-12, February 7-10, February 23-25 April 8-12, May 9-12, May 26-28, July 10-15, August 10-14, August 28-30, October 11-16, November 10-14 or November 27-29. It's a good day to date around January 12 or attract someone and/or show some love and affection. There are sunny spells around January 13. Around January 14, Mars at 22° Capricorn squares Chiron at 22° Aries while Mercury at 19° Capricorn opposes Jupiter at 19° Cancer. Most Mars-Chiron aspects coincide with strikes, protests and manifestations. There are disruptions at or around the workplace. People may differ opinions and may disagree and even clash easily now. The Mercury-Jupiter opposition is upbeat and exaggerates. Speeches and talks may be full of bluff, and misjudgments may happen. Also, some of you will travel or take a trip. Following mundane astrology, Mercury-Jupiter oppositions often coincide with (legal) documents being made public or being released or information being disclosed and spread. There is anger around January 15. If you are born around January 17, February 15-16, March 17-18, April 17, May 17-18, June 18, July 19-20, August 20, September 20, October 20, November 19 or December 19, this day might bring separation from a loved one, tension in a relationship (in the widest sense), arguments, a toggle relationship (on-off-on-off), trying to break out, the sudden passing or leave- taking of a loved one, to experience a cold shower, the difficult childbirth process, the resignation or quitting of a woman. Following astrometeorology, beware of storm here and there but also fire hazards. Mercury at 22° Capricorn squares Chiron at 22° Aries around January 16. When Mercury and disruptive Chiron are in close contact, chances are an electric, digital or electronic device will break down. This also implies that the internet or websites may be down here and there. In some instances, traffic and/or transportation can face disruptions too with things being held up, traffic jams etc. Venus enters Aquarius around January 17. Some of you may find love among a friend or because of being a member at the same club or society. If you are born around January 17, February 15- 16, March 17-18, April 17, May 17-18, June 18, July 19-20, August 20, September 20, October 20, November 19 or December 19, this day might bring (physical) stress and tension. You tend to oppose or resist changes and some of you may have to do intense physical activities. You may be very nervous and struggle for your individual freedom. You tend to rebel, go your own way to develop yourself without further control. Around the January 18 New Moon at 28° Capricorn (that is widely trine Uranus at 27° Taurus, sextile Neptune at 29° Pisces and conjunct Mars at 25°-26° Capricorn), Mercury and Mars conjoin at 26° Capricorn. This difficult New Moon period can be cold(er) (literally and figuratively). Some of you may do a hospital visit while others reject proposals to remain emotionally detached instead of entangled. The whole week presents a detached period in time, above all doing intellectual, cerebral work also. When Mercury and Mars conjoin, they are in for activities, starting something, carrying out a plan. However, for some of you, there can be disputes or disagreements, especially with authorities. It's as if authorities have the last say despite your opposition. If you are born around January 16, March 1-2, April 15-16, June 1-2, July 18-19, September 3-4, October 19 or December 3, expect successful activities and fortunate developments with others or with someone else. You are able to persuade others or someone else and organize something big and successful. Some of you may participate to a successful mass event. Following astrometeorology, this New Moon period (the coming week that is) can become freezing cold (in the northern hemisphere), with snow and ice present here and there. There are sunny spells around January 19 and the weather might be very fair and gentle here and there. It should keep dry. It might be a great day, generally speaking. There is anger around January 19 and 20. Beware of traffic and/or transportation accidents. If you are born around January 17, February 15-16, March 17-18, April 17, May 17-18, June 18, July 19-20, August 20, September 20, October 20, November 19 or December 19, the current astrological configurations may affect you most. The Sun and Mercury both enter Aquarius while Venus and Pluto conjoin at 3° Aquarius around the same day of January 20. Beware of big U-turns, sudden disruptions and emergency or crisis situations. Some of you may face a shock experience and irritation because some rules now change. Beware of a fall. There is a huge need to be independent, free and detached. The Venus-Pluto aspect points to a sudden profound change in the life of a loved one. It's possible there will be a social gathering, people coming together, uniting. Now that the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Pluto reside in Aquarius and build a stellium, a treacherous period starts for Pisces and those of you having Pisces rising. You may not feel too well, be ill or feel confined. Also, there may be a lot going on behind closed doors or behind your back and you better prepare for gossip, trouble, not being able to prove yourself, being held back. Following astrometeorology, a stellium in Aquarius coincides with cold(er) weather, often accompanied by blizzards, more wind and even storm. Following mundane astrology, a stellium in the air sign Aquarius may coincide with an increased risk of air crashes or issues in space (drones, satellites, etc.). The Sun and Mercury conjoin the day after at 1° Aquarius, around January 21. This degree area coincides with rejection, resignation, being fired or leaving a position even if you 'feel' unguilty or think it's all unjustified. So, there can be news about such subjects that result in having a feeling of going it alone now. Also, this degree area involves some fear for and uncertainty about the future. Mercury then conjuncts Pluto at 3° Aquarius the day after, around January 22, often pointing to news about a death. There are social gatherings going on. This degree area sees it big, really big so that information or communication about big projects may be on the agenda. There can be news about big investigations too because all Mercury-Pluto combinations love to analyze, research and go to the bottom of everything (especially secrets). Around the same day of January 22, there are clouds in the sky. Mars enters Aquarius around January 23 while the Sun and Pluto are now conjunct at 3° Aquarius. This configuration emphasizes the crossing over of someone (most often a male reference person). If you are born around January 22-23, February 21-22, March 23-24, April 23, May 24, June 24-25, July 25-26, August 26, September 25-26, October 26-27, November 25 or December 24-25, this day points to, among others: big plans, speeches, mental strain and even obsessive thoughts, annoyance, to organize something, to need influence and power, to talk persuasively or try to persuade someone or others, to have great insight, speaking to the masses. The entrance of Mars in Aquarius adds to the issues that most Pisces people and those with Pisces rising have to endure. The treacherous period intensifies now that 5 planets reside in Aquarius. Take care of your health and beware of those around you because they might just be wolves in sheep's clothing... Only after February 10, your situation might improve and clear up. Mars entering Aquarius increases the odds of emergencies and sudden U-turns yet again. Around the same day of January 23, there are clouds in the sky. Around the January 26 First Quarter Moon at 6° Taurus, generational and slow-moving Neptune enters Aries for the next 12-13 years. This is a big deal, the more so because 0° Aries is the Vernal point, representing the world at large, the whole world. In this position, Neptune may bring mass deception, worldwide deception but also new ideals and ideologies spanning the world. The lunation at 6° Taurus coincides with explosions that may happen this week. Something bursts open, releases some products out into the open (gas or other material or immaterial stuff). In numerous cases, this degree area points to something breaking up or down and, following mundane astrology, in some instances it indicates an attack or assassination. Interestingly, the neck and throat are now sensitive organs (represented by Taurus). Additionally, volcanic eruptions may become more in the news too the coming days, weeks and months. There are sunny spells around January 27. Around January 27-28, Mars and Pluto meet at 3° Aquarius. This is a violent and intense combination. There is a whole lot of work ahead and some mass event has to be organized or tackled. Beware of violent protests. Around January 29 the astrological configuration points to, among others: the passing of a loved one, the leave-taking of a female reference person, unrequited love, platonic love, the unfulfilled wishes, to be hopeless and speechless, the longings, the uncertainty, the lack of perspective, to be very tired. If you are born around February 3-4, March 20, May 5, June 21, August 7, September 22-23, November 7 or December 21-22, these configurations might affect you most. Following astrometeorology, the current configuration points to lots of precipitation and severe storm here and there with inundations and floods. If you are born around January 7, February 5-6, March 7-8, April 6-7, May 7-8, June 7-8, July 9, August 9-10, September 9-10, October 10, November 9 or December 9, around January 31 there can be, among others: feelings of love and joy, receiving a package or gift or nice card, love thoughts, to have an enjoyable day, artistic or creative success, a supportive bond or connection, joyful optimism.
