Hi

We are excited to announce a breakthrough in our astrological fertility research.

After investigating many cases of moments of conception, we were able to find the leading thread that we are happy to post in this Loveletter.

Have a nice read!

Love Forecasts for May 2009

Mercury enters mutable and airy Gemini around May 1. Mercury in its own sign becomes unstable and highly fickle (adaptable). Things are changing fast and you will need some flexibility to move on. Opinions will change and you will have to adapt yourself to it. Expect short trips and lots of communication to be part of this transit.

Gemini is one of the double signs of the zodiac denoting that nothing will come alone. Expect events to happen twice around the same time.

Around May 2, Venus at 3° Aries squares Pluto at 3° Capricorn questioning your love life from the bottom up -- especially if you are born around March 24, June 25, September 26 or December 25.

Around May 7, Mercury stations at 1° Gemini and starts its retrograde motion. The days around the station of Mercury, you'd better not take any important decisions as you may reconsider, re-think or re-write later on. Wait till Mercury goes direct again around May 31.

During the retrogression of Mercury you should try to build your opinion, try to gather all relevant information to make an informed decision.

Retrograde Mercury will enter stable Taurus again around May 14. Some financial issues or problems related to your possessions still have to be sorted out. You still long for stability and may (temporarily) opt for certainty and old habits. You're not yet ready for some major changes that are about to happen and that will start manifesting after Mercury's entry into Gemini again, after June 14-15.

The Sun at 25° Taurus squares Jupiter at 25° Aquarius around May 16. This is not the best aspect to see life as it is, in reality. You tend to be shaken by reality, the more so because around the same time, the Sun squares nebulous Neptune at 26° Aquarius too. The own world view differs from reality in a substantial way.

The whole month of May will be under the influence of the Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron combination around 25-26° in fixed signs, now and then triggered by the Sun and/or Mercury. But more about it in a second.

Aside from the disappointing Sun-Neptune square, Saturn stations at 14° Virgo around May 17 too. So, we have the Sun square Jupiter/Neptune and Saturn stationing around these days. In short: you are not yet able to adapt yourself to a new situation that you have never dreamed or thought of. New realities have taken you (by surprise?) and you need time to adapt to it. You have to take action and bring structure to your life again.

Around May 18, the Sun conjuncts Mercury at 27° Taurus making for many thoughts and many things that are on your mind. Because Mercury is also square Neptune (exact around May 20) you may lack direction and see unclear in some situations.

The Sun enters Gemini around May 20, adding to the confusion because the Sun triggers the Mercury-Neptune aspect (Mercury is the dispositor of the Sun because it rules the sign in which the Sun is posited). The Mercury-Jupiter-Neptune aspect is especially active now around May 20-21 and will affect you if you are born around January 16-17, February 14-15, March 16-17, April 16-17, May 16-17, June 17-18, July 18-19, August 19-20, September 19-20, October 19-20, November 18-19 or December 18-19.

For some, this trio will act like a fairy-tale, for others it will represent a fata morgana (mirage).

Around May 27, the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is exact at 26° Aquarius. Jupiter-Neptune has a financial meaning, as well as a religious/spiritual one.

Because the transiting Moon at the moment of the exact conjunction is also posited in a water sign (Cancer), this aspect has, above all, a religious meaning and will affect the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Church.

Also note that in mundane astrology the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction (and aspects) is related to capitalism too. This conjunction marks the start of a new way of capitalism that will unfold in the months and years to come. The same goes for the Vatican.

On a more personal level, this conjunction can bring good and bad. It may denote bankruptcy but also receiving money effortlessly, depending on your own natal chart.

Mercury stations again around May 31 at 22° Taurus and will start its direct motion again.

Around the same time, Mars enters possessive Taurus too, bringing the focus on expenses and ways to protect your income and possessions.

Breakthrough in Astrological Fertility Research

If we can believe the ongoing press reports, (in)fertility will become one of the biggest and major health issues in the (near) future.

It's not only our way of living in an over-polluted environment full of unnecessary chemicals and toxic waste but also the way we handle our food and dietary habits that are the culprit.

According to a very convincing Austrian research study, confirming a lot of earlier research results, eating genetically modified foods will add to the (in)fertility problems.

Clearly, with genetically manipulated foods, one never knows what one eats and what the effects will be long-term. In matters of health, better safe than sorry.

Anyway, finding the most reliable periods of fertility may become handy in a world full of fertility-blocking influences. And that's where our research results may be very helpful indeed.

While our research is still ongoing before we are going to promote it on our web site, we are happy to post some important astrological factors and signatures that were found over and again in conception horoscopes. What we have found really is a leading thread and what we are doing now, before promoting it, is weighing all these factors and looking for a hiearchy to increase the reliability of the outcome.

Our findings are related to female horoscopes (later on we will analyze male conception horoscopes as well). We analyzed the natal horoscope of the women compared with the DAILY (transiting) positions of the planets during conception.

We used the following aspects: conjunction (orb 8°), semi-sextile (orb 3°), sextile (orb 6°), square (orb 6°), trine (orb 8°), inconjunct (orb 3°), opposition (orb 8°) and solstice points (antiscion and contrascion degrees: orb 1°). Note that we did not (yet) include the semi-square and sesquiquadrate.

Currently, only the major planets and bodies were used: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto as well as the Mean North Node of the Moon, the Mean apogee of the Moon (the Black Moon Lilith), the Pars Fortuna (changed by day/night).

We used the same bodies in our midpoint research in the 45° modus (8th harmonic) with a 1° orb.

In a second phase, we will add the major Asteroids, the TNPs (Trans-Neptunian Planets of the Hamburg School -- Uranian Astrology) and, hopefully some Arabic Parts too.

Our findings

In many astrological articles and textbooks about fertility and conception, you will read about the importance of the Moon. UNDOUBTEDLY this is true and we can confirm the importance of the transiting Moon in matters of fertility and conception.

HOWEVER, this is only a small (but nonetheless highly important) part of the whole story! The Moon NEVER ever stands or acts alone. Without the SUN, the Moon is nothing! The Moon is related to the Sun and we can confirm the importance of the link between the Sun and the Moon. Ancient/medieval astrologers knew it long before us: the Sun decides what the Moon will carry out. This is sooo true.

So, for now, the Sun and the Moon are related to conception but there still are other players at work too.

Venus is the other body that stands out way above other planets and bodies and is as important as the Sun and the Moon. Indeed, Venus and fertility go hand in hand. In all conception horoscopes we found aspects between the Sun, Moon and Venus.

Conception Indications

If you want to increase the odds of conceiving by knowing astrological fertile periods, take notice of the following important astrological indications:
  • the transiting Moon during conception is most often in the sign that can be found on the 5th house cusp in the natal chart. The Moon is NOT necessarily in the 5th natal house though! In some instances the transiting Moon is in the sign sextile the sign in which natal Venus can be found.
  • look for reciprocal aspects (and double whammies) between the 3 major fertility bodies (the Sun, Moon and Venus)
    • the transiting Moon builds one of the above mentioned aspects to the natal Sun
    • the transiting Moon builds one of the above mentioned aspects to natal Venus
    • the transiting Moon builds one of the above mentioned aspects to the natal Moon
    • the transiting Sun builds one of the above mentioned aspects to the natal Sun
    • the transiting Sun builds one of the above mentioned aspects to natal Venus
    • the transiting Sun builds one of the above mentioned aspects to the natal Moon
    • the transiting Venus builds one of the above mentioned aspects to the natal Sun
    • the transiting Venus builds one of the above mentioned aspects to natal Venus
    • the transiting Venus builds one of the above mentioned aspects to the natal Moon
  • very often, there is a double whammy between Venus and Mars even if this is NOT related to conception as such but rather to the sexual act (for example: transiting Venus aspects natal Mars AND transiting Mars aspects natal Venus)
  • For the moment, Moon-Venus aspects seem to be much more important than Sun-Venus aspects. We are still weighing the different aspects and combinations but this one already stands out and can be found in EVERY conception horoscope. So, there will be no conception if there is no Moon-Venus aspect (either transiting Venus to the natal Moon or transiting Moon to natal Venus).
  • Any midpoint combination in which the Moon, the Sun and Venus are involved is important (especially double whammies).
  • the transiting Sun in the sign of natal Venus and/or transiting Venus in the sign of the natal Sun
  • very often the (natal or transiting) Venus/Black Moon Lilith midpoint is aspected by the (transiting or natal) Moon. This transiting midpoint may also aspect the natal Ascendant.
  • transiting bodies aspecting the Moon, the Sun or Venus at 16° or 23° in a fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) may denote conception because there is some evidence that 16° and 23° in fixed signs are very fertile degrees. More research is still necessary though so don't take this as a given.
The signification of the Black Moon Lilith (often called the Dark Moon) is not yet clear. It seems Lilith plays a major part in fertility and conception though. Especially the Venus/Black Moon midpoint is very often indicated. More about the Black Moon as soon as we have researched this point more in-depth.
