Click here to download the October 2025 calendar in pdf format. In general and on a mundane level, events are likely to happen around October 6, 12, 19 and/or 26. During this month of October there are the following planetary configurations of stationing outer planets that might affect some specific birthdays:
Try not to initiate any major projects on these dark, unfortunate, chaotic and empty days (no proposals, no marriages, no changes of residence,...) because things may not go as planned or wished. In the 45° dial, there are the following powerful midpoint combinations between outer planets going on that will mark this month's Zeitgeist (and thus work out the whole month):
This waxing square vents a preconceived idea or opinion, a biased point of view. There is lots of wishful thinking going on and information is often hard to believe at this time because of the exaggeration involved. Information is or documents are released too fast and/or not analyzed properly. Because Mercury is in social Libra, this is the aspect of the situation where someone speaks or shouts to a large crowd during a gathering of some sort. It's a noisy, ballooning combination. There are sunny spells around October 2. Around October 3, Venus at 16° Virgo opposes the mean Lunar North Node while Mercury at 25° Libra opposes Chiron at 25° Aries. Most Mercury-Chiron contacts coincide with issues related to electronics or electrical devices. Beware of internet and/or website outages, devices breaking down, but also traffic and/or transportation obstructions. When Venus opposes the Lunar North Node, socializing becomes more problematic. There can be relationship or financial problems and this aspect is quite restricting, blocking. A girl/woman or a loved one may be absent during this aspect. You may prefer more solitude as well. Around October 5-6, there are clouds in the sky. Mercury enters Scorpio around October 6-7, a very investigative and research-oriented combination. There can be news about a relationship change, swapping relationships, but also just the end of a relationship and needing time to regenerate and process everything properly. Beware of obsessive thoughts. There can be news about a death, about taxes, insurances, debt or other shared resources. Following mundane astrology, when Mercury enters Scorpio through the so-called 'Gates of death' (0° Scorpio), it above average coincides with severe road, traffic and/or transportation accidents resulting in numerous fatalities and casualties. Take care when you are on the road or at a public place where lots of people are together. Around the October 6-7 perigee Full Moon at 14° Aries, Mercury at 1° Scorpio squares Pluto at 1° Aquarius, its own dispositor. There are sudden endings, passings, sudden profound reversals that you did not see coming and some of you may feel intensely lonely when you hear that news or get that information. Some of you will have to cancel your plans as well. Following mundane astrology, this whole Full Moon period tends to coincide with severe traffic or transportation accidents resulting in numerous casualties. It's best to avoid public transportation now. Additionally, there can be big manifestations, protests and strikes going on that will cause quite some traffic issues here and there. This Full Moon degree reinforces the crossing of lines, and not knowing boundaries which may result in clashes and crashes. Emotions may run high the coming week. Also, any Full Moon brings out things into the open, but at one of the most public degrees of the zodiac, this SuperMoon is about to unexpectedly release quite some hidden or unknown information and make it public. Expect big announcements and revelations that may go viral the coming week. Around October 7 and 8, the ongoing astrological configurations are still very accident- prone. Some of you want or need to decide quickly while others may fanatically push through their plan. There is lots of talks and buzz and the word must go out. Clearly, this Full Moon period is a very energizing and talkative one. If you are born around January 20-21, February 19-20, March 21-22, April 20-21, May 21-22, June 22-23, July 23-24, August 24-25, September 24-25, October 24-25, November 23 or December 22-23, the current astrological configurations may affect you most. Following astrometeorology, the current astrological patterns point to intense storm and heavy wind here and there. Around October 11, Venus at 26° Virgo opposes Saturn at 26° Pisces. All oppositions to Saturn are blocking ones and when Venus of relationships, loved ones and money opposes restricting Saturn, expect monetary issues like not being able to pay. Also, love is at a distance now and it looks like a loved one is out of reach, for whatever reason. Some of you see no way out for the moment and you better wait till the aspect goes by. Around October 13, expect lots of nervous tension and stress, lots of interventions, emergencies and buzz. There is lots of work ahead! Venus enters Libra around the October 13-14 Last Quarter Moon at 20° Cancer and opposes Neptune at 0° Aries right after. Additionally, Pluto at 1° Aquarius stations and turns direct again. When Venus enters its own sign, it wants to gather, for whatever reason. People will get together, socialize but the opposition to dissolving Neptune indicates some of you may also miss a loved one. There is some disappointment noticeable in matters of love and romance and there is an intense longing for someone absent. Also, this aspect favors artistic and creative drives. Stationing Pluto often coincides with man-made or natural disasters, resignations or abdications, a celebrity passing but also big scandals becoming public, especially at this particular degree. Pluto's station will be felt the whole month long though. If you are Scorpio or have Scorpio rising, rejoice as your life will slowly but steadily improve again. Following astrometeorology, all Venus-Neptune aspects increase the odds of precipitation here and there. Stationing Pluto above average coincides with intense storm here and there and combined with the aforementioned accompanying Venus-Neptune opposition, inundations and/or floods are almost a given. Around October 14, some of you may be seduced, revel in love while others may be deluded. Don't go too far. Secret love affairs or unrequited love may be present as well. The current astrological configurations are most favorable in artistic and creative endeavors (like photography, painting, music...). If you are born around January 20, February 18-19, March 20-21, April 20, May 21, June 21, July 22-23, August 23, September 23, October 23-24, November 22 or December 21-22, these influences may affect you most. There are sunny spells around October 15. Around October 17, the Sun at 24° Libra squares Jupiter at 24° Cancer. This waxing square often points to a move or change of residence, trips and travel. This is a favorable aspect overall that brings some publicity and a personal change (often in status too) for the better. Around the same day of October 17 and 18, there is a fortunate or happy change of course or breakthrough. The current astrological configurations point to healing, help in health matters and support that can bring solutions or resolve issues. Windfalls are possible. If you are born around If you are born around January 14, February 12-13, March 14-15, April 13-14, May 14-15, June 15, July 16-17, August 16-17, September 16-17, October 17, November 16 or December 15-16, these influences may affect you most. Around October 18 and 19, there are clouds in the sky and its chilly. Mercury and Mars meet at 19° Scorpio around October 20, called the most 'cursed' degree of the zodiac. Indeed, this degree area is totally brutal, lacking any compassion and very transformative. Shocking experiences with a big emotional impact are possible and because Mercury and Mars together often coincide when severe traffic or transportation accidents happen, such events cannot be ruled out now. Also, Mercury conjunct Mars is indicative of a profound inner impulsive drive to accomplish something, suggesting that passionate urges may be present that, in some cases, may lack all boundaries and become criminal acts. Beware of physical injuries, cuts and wounds. Around the October 21 New Moon at 28° Libra the atmosphere become cool, more distant and some of you feel rejected. Formalities matter and more cerebral ('scientific') thinking as well. There can be hospital visits as well during this whole New Moon period. Following astrometeorology, the temperatures may drop and it may become quite chilly and overcast. While retrograde Neptune leaves Aries and enters Pisces again around October 22, the Sun enters Scorpio the day after. When Neptune returns in Pisces and is now at 29° Pisces, the most watery degree of the zodiac, expect more precipitation the coming weeks and months. Dissolving Neptune may go for another round of floods and inundations here and there. Also, people may go missing and/or hiding, flee away during Neptune's backward transit in late Pisces (these late degrees are also drowning degrees). The current configurations point to a rather dark period in many ways, during which some (group of) people will cross over. There are sunny spells around October 23. The Sun at 1° Scorpio squares stationing Pluto at 1° Aquarius around October 24. This intense waning aspect is full of power conflicts and adds to a stormy but also shocking period in time. This degree area in fixed signs above average coincides with the passing of a celebrity, VIP, etc. but also with being fired or rejected or facing resignation. Some of you may have to face being alone. Around October 24 and 25, there can be fortunate changes, helpful support or turns for the better. Mentors, teachers, advisors, helpdesks, medical doctors may be able to help you out. Around October 27 and 28, the fortunate developments and breakthroughs continue. There can be an increased interest in extraterrestrial topics. Some of you will have to cancel your plans and not all expectations will manifest. Mercury and Uranus at 0° in mutable signs reflect lots of changes of the place, taking detours, not feeling at home anywhere. Often, there is sudden news from siblings or from neighbors as well. This is a very noisy aspect, a very restless one. Following mundane astrology, the current astrological configurations may indicate a government or governments having trouble and risk to fall. The degree of this lunation period indicates leaks (for example of water or gas pipes) but may also point to a dam break (literally or figuratively). What this also means is that something that seemed solid and strong, unexpectedly breaks down or collapses (literally or figuratively). This degree area reflects explosions too. Following astrometeorology, all Mercury-Uranus aspects, especially in mutable signs, increase the odds of tense wind and even storm here and there. There are sunny spells around the same day of October 29, late in the evening. Derivative Houses representing Persons and RelationshipsOn our website, we have written different articles about what is considered a very difficult and complicated topic in astrology: the derivative houses, often called derived or 'turned' houses too.This method was originally used in horary astrology (the astrology of answering questions based on drawing a horoscope for the time of birth of a concrete question). We wrote about the natal houses defining the different marriage partners, finding the houses in the natal horoscope that describe all the different marriage partners or marriages; and also about the 12th derivative house pointing what what or who you can't stand. In this article we want to discuss how this derivative houses method is able to let you find other people and relationships in your life when reading your horoscope wheel. By determining which houses are the principal rulers of the persons or relationships you want to describe, you are able to tell a more detailed and expanded story. The basic assumption and even premise is based on the following:
You can take any of these houses, representing a person or relationship as the 1st house to tell something about that person. For example: if you want to know more about a child, take the 5th house in the horoscope wheel and assign this the 1st house. In other words, turn the horoscope wheel as it were and put the 5th house on the position of the 1st house because you want to delineate the fundamental SELF (1st house) of a child (5th house). If you want to know more about a sibling of the child, count 3 houses from the 5th house, beginning with the 5th house, because siblings are 3rd house matters. Hence, when the 5th house is positioned as the 1st house, the 3rd house counting from the 5th house brings us to the 7th house. So, the 7th house is assigned to the sibling of the child. Let's take another example: if you want to know about a sibling of the partner you must first of all look at the house of the partner, which is the 7th house. Then position the 7th house (turn the horoscope wheel) so that it becomes the 1st house. You then count three houses (siblings are represented by the 3rd house) from the 7th house (beginning with this house as if it's the 1st house), which brings you to the 9th house that will tell something about the partner's siblings (brother-in-law or sister-in-law). If you want to know about the partner's own children, count 5 houses from the 7th house to arrive at the 11th house. Hence, the 11th house represents the stepchildren (children of the partner). If you want to know about a child from a sister-in-law, count 5 houses (the child) from the 9th house (sibling of the partner). Yet another example: if you want to find out about a friend's child, first of all take the 11th house of friends and take that as the 1st house, turn the horoscope wheel so that the 11th house is positioned as the 1st house (which describes the fundamental SELF of the friend). Because children are part of the 5th house meanings, count 5 houses beginning with the 11th house and arrive at the 3rd house. So, the 3rd house will describe the friend's child. When delineating houses in the natal horoscope wheel, in the solar return horoscopes or any other progressed or directed horoscopes, take this method into account and be open-minded as to what the outcome may be. This makes astrology more complex and makes it difficult to find out beforehand how the house meaning will work out in reality or in practice. We recommend to not overuse the derivative houses method though, and primarily stick to the basic meanings of the houses, connected to your own life (SELF) and only proceed further if necessary.
