In this article we give some insights into the way unaspected Venus works out in the natal horoscope.
Venus is called unaspected when she builds no major aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine or opposition) to another planet with an orb of 5°.
Whether or not planets build aspects among each other not only depends on the orbs used (from 5° or even 10° or 12°), but also on the kind of aspects because planets are always in some sort of aspect (depending on the harmonics used), from so-called micro aspects, to minor and major aspects.
To do research, we always have to use a fixed reference frame to compare charts and find common traits that correlate with the researched subject.
Most research has been done by using a 5° orb with the major (Ptolemaic) aspects, mentioned above, though.
Many astrologers like Bil Tierney, Janis Huntley, Glenn Mitchell, Joyce Hopewell and Richard Llewellyn (based on the Swiss API School), among others, are of the opinion that unaspected planets are highly important and work out in a unique way.
Unaspected (actually, the least aspected) planets are valid in astrocartography too as Robert Couteau found out during his research.
Most astrologers agree that unaspected planets:
In the natal horoscope, unaspected Venus becomes erratic, a bit unpredictable and vacillating in matters of love and romance.
Love and affection are more superficial and may fluctuate, thus giving the impression that they lack affection for a single person.
There can be many love affairs, love interests because of that.
Especially males tend to have more difficulties relating with the opposite sex.
People with unaspected Venus in the natal chart still have fabulous taste and have quite some artistic ability.
Unaspected Venus is told to become more passive (in the sense of rather lazy) and at times very sensual.
Love interests are not continuously and actively pursued but when the native is approached, the response can be more intense.
Unaspected Venus tends to wait till the good things fall into its lap.
In this position, Venus becomes more reactive and undemonstrative in social interaction.
