Do you, at Cosmic Technologies, really believe in astrology?

May we first ask you what you think is 'a belief'?

In our opinion it's everything you can't (sense) smell, see, touch, feel,........ everything that is not (yet) part of your life.

It's all things that you have not encountered, not lived to see, not experienced, everything that did not become part of your own reality.

It's a dimension you are not aware of and that has not reached your consciousness (yet).

It's kind of a frequency you don't know of, that has not entered your personal life.

That's why we also say: 'in the world of an elephant, goldfish do not exist either.'

Suppose that I'm a mechanic, and you are a lay(wo)man who doesn't know anything about how engines work.

If I would just 'tell' you how an engine works, would you 'believe' me?

Perhaps, because You may consider me an expert in this field, but it will still be a belief on your part -- till you have gone through mechanics yourself.

With astrology it's the same.

If you don't know what it is, if you have never seen how it works, if you have never experienced it, if you don't know....... you can't but 'believe' in it (or not believe in it).

Anyway, it will always remain a belief.

If you know what astrology does, if you know what to expect from it, - not because you reason about it - but if you have thoroughly researched and practiced it, if you know what it is and what it is not, if it is part of your consiousness and personal reality, it will get another dimension.

It will no longer be 'a belief'.

Astrology is only a belief to the disbelievers.

And so, it is with quite a lot of other topics, take Homeopathy, Reiki, Accupuncture, electromagnetism,...

If it's not part of your reality, it will always remain a belief in YOUR life.

So, NO, we don't 'believe' in astrology, we just know what it is and how it works...

With all the success stories and failures that go with it!

And, by the way, if you are planning to (scientifically) test astrology, think about what you're going to test: astrology or the 'astrologer(s)'...

You often talk about doing astrological research, can you explain that?

We do indeed often mention that we are doing astrological research.

In fact we are analyzing as much horoscopes as possible, looking for some common astrological signatures, hoping to bring astrology to a more 'scientific' level.

If we can find some planetary pictures and alignments that can only be found in the research group and not in a control group, we may have found some valuable information to 'predict' future events or characteristics.

Let's give an example.

We have been doing some research re the solar returns (i.e. a horoscope calculated for the time that the transiting Sun returns to the position of the natal Sun) and the year of one's first marriage and first childbirth.

If we can find some planetary pictures that can only be found in the solar returns of the year of one's first marriage, we can analyze all solar returns of one's life and find the solar return in which we find the pictures to get the year of the first marriage.

In our first dataset we used to research the first marriage found in solar returns, we gathered the following preliminary results (based on just 200 solar returns):

  • solar return Venus is in a mutable sign (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces): in 40% of 200 cases
  • solar return Jupiter culminates
  • solar return Neptune is in the 2nd Quadrant
  • solar return Pluto is parallel or anti-parallel the Midheaven or the Ascendant

The most remarkable combinations were as follows:

  • solar return Venus in Virgo AND solar return Ascendant Leo AND solar return New Moon or Last Quarter Moon
  • solar return Jupiter equals the sum of the Sun and Mercury (SU + ME = JU)
  • solar return Venus in Virgo and the solar return Moon in a major aspect to solar return Uranus (orb 3°)

To analyze as much horoscopes as possible, we need a huge amount of reliable birth data though, very detailed biographies and personal traits or characteristics and -- last but not least -- good software programs.

In the past we used the most wonderful (and powerful) program WINARP from AIR Software.

Unfortunately they do not support that software anymore and replaced it with their new NeuroNet Astro Investigator software.

While the Astro Investigator can analyze more characteristics together and give them a weighing, WINARP could research much, much more astrological features (midpoints, harmonics, degree areas,...) separately.

It's a pity these most important features are (still) missing in the Astro Investigator.

Next to the Astro Investigator we use JogSaw and the AstroDatabank, the most extensive astrological Database in the World with currently 70,000+ birth data and biographies.

Our individual sex horoscopes and individual love horoscopes, were analyzed with the help of the AstroDatabank.

How do you conduct your astrological research?

When conducting our research we use the following astrological conditions:

  • we use the following planets, bodies and points:
    * the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto

    * the Mean/True Moon’s North Node, the Part Of Fortune (changed by day/night), the East point (Ep), the Vertex (Vx), the Black Moon (Mean apogee of the Moon)

    * the Ascendant, the MC and all the house cusps (Topocentric system)

    * the major Asteroids and the TNP's (from the Hamburg School or Uranian Astrology).

  • we use the following aspects (with different orb settings of 1°, 3° and 6° each): 0°, 30°, 36°, 45°, 60°, 72°, 90°, 120°, 135°, 144°, 150° and 180°.

In some cases, we also investigate some other minor aspects.

  • we calculate all the midpoints (orb 1°) in two different Harmonic settings (8th and 12th Harmonic) involving all the above mentioned planets, bodies and points

  • we investigate the geocentric as well as the heliocentric positions

  • we use the Topocentric houses (almost the same as Placidus)

  • we also investigate the common astrological principles (planets/bodies in signs and houses, distances, declinations, degree areas,...)

When we analyze a batch of horoscopes, we let the statistical software analyze every SINGLE astrological condition (out of thousands and thousands!) that is then compared with a control group (and a Chi square test).

What a Chi square test is, is explained below.

We then combine the most prominent astrological conditions with each other to find a signature in the analyzed group that we cannot find in the control group.

Let's start with an example to make it more comprehensible to understand how we conduct our astrological research.

Say, we want to research the astrological condition(s) that make a childless woman (for example).

How do we proceed and conduct our astrological research?

  1. We make sure we have as much reliable birth informations as possible (Rodden rating B or above)

  2. We look for numerous astrological conditions and configurations (aspects, midpoints, degree areas, geocentric and heliocentric positions, planetary phases, rulerships, planets in signs and houses, harmonics, etc etc).

"The sky is the limit" and we try to think out of the box (that's important!).

So, it is that we not only take the major aspects into account but numerous other (minor) aspects and planetary openings too etc.

  3. Our software program(s) are used to analyze these different conditions and calculate a Chi Square (one of the most widely used theoretical probability distributions in inferential statistics, i.e. in statistical significance tests).

The higher the Chi Square the more important and significant the astrological condition is.

  4. Then, we start combining all the significant factors/conditions and comparing them to a "control group."

If we find a certain combination of astrological conditions that is NOT found in the control group, then we have found a very significant astrological combination.

This combination (of two or more astrological conditions) makes one single signature.

And so, we search for as many signatures as possible.

Really, there are numerous, hundreds and even thousands of different signatures pointing to the same single event (i.c. a childless woman).

There are hundreds of configurations pointing to what makes a childless woman (for example) and what we want is to find as much signatures (a chain of combinations of astrological configurations and conditions) as possible.

We call every single chain, containing different significant astrological conditions, a signature.

We repeat because it's important: there are hundreds, even thousands of signatures (chains of astrological conditions) pointing to the same life event, trait or characteristic.

It's erroneous to say or think that one single configuration relates with one single event or trait...

Nature is a network and not a linear one-on-one thing.

You can't judge the cover of a puzzle by analyzing just and only one single piece in isolation!

And here, most astrological research studies fail hard!

In our statistical research, we want to find as many of these signatures pointing to the same life event, traits or characteristics as possible.

An example wil make it more clear:

Let's say we have found 100 single significant astrological conditions and configurations (with a high Chi square) that are found in 200 charts of childless women.

Then we start combining astrological condition 1 with condition 2 and look at the "control group" of 200 charts (or more) of women who conceived children.

Can we find a single chart with this combination in the charts of women with children or not.

That's the question:

  • If we can find a chart in our control group having the same combination of astrological conditions, we have not found anything significant.

Then, we start combining condition 1 and condition 3 and start all over, searching for a chart in the control group that has the same combination of conditions.

We start combining two conditions at first and if all dual combos are researched, we start combining three conditions, and start all over and so we go on, eventually combining 4, 5, 6,... astrological conditions.

  • If we cannot find a chart in our control group having the same combination of astrological conditions, we have found something significant.

This combination will be our first signature.

Then we go on with combining the other astrological conditions (for example: condition 2 and condition 3; or condition 3 and 4 or condition 1 and 3 or...) and look at our control group to see if the combination can be found in it.

If not, we have our 2nd signature and so we go on.

If all dual combos of conditions are researched, we start combining 3, 4, 5,... and more conditions and do the research over, looking for as many signatures as possible.

Hopefully, you now understand how complex and immensely time-consuming astrological research really is, the more so because there's almost nobody in the whole world who is doing astrological research this way.

Also, to our knowledge, there is still not a single astrological software program available in the whole world that can accomplish this huge task for us!!

We have to rely on different software programs to help us accomplish this task, and hopefully they are bug free.

And then, we are left alone with a lot of deduction and insight to find the right combinations to build our signatures...

Also, every time we add new reliable birth information to our database(s), we have to start from scratch ;-(((

What a hassle!

But in the end it really pays, because the results are reliable and VERY significant.

Astrology rocks!

Do you deliver astrological profiles, readings or reports and if so, how much do they cost?

Indeed, we deliver astrological profiles and reports.

We refer to our Horoscope Profiles page for an overview of some reports and profiles we offer.

We also deliver a Free love matching analysis for members of the most well-known online Dating Services, as mentioned on our dating page.

Note that we do not deliver computerized reports, though, and that all the reports that we deliver are the work of a human astrologer.

The only exception in which we deliver computerized or automated charts is when we want to provide you with listings, tables, calculations and charts that need no text or that complete a text.

An example are the Astrodamus reports.

In fact you can order any report or forecast from us.

One exception: we do NO medical astrology, so we will not answer any questions or problems that relate to medical or health issues.

All our prices are in Euro but you can also pay the equivalent amount in USD, GBP or CAD.

Payments go through PayPal because it's really the most convenient way to do so.

Contact us for any report (and price) that you cannot find on our web site through our Contact/Feedback page.

I ordered a Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview and still have some questions:

a. What do the various colors green, blue and black on the chart mean?

b. Is the time in the 24 hour format?

c. Those times marked ** - what do you mean these are the times which signify the time of "highest lunar fertility" yet are NOT the dates that it is most likely I would conceive a healthy child?

Does that mean conception at such times means an ill child? or a miscarriage?

The various colors on the Overview do have a specific meaning.

The light green color points to the peak fertile periods (indicated by two ** in the last column of the table).

The blue color indicates the periods when the gender of the child still is uncertain (marked by the question marks ?? in tha last column).

Different colors are used to indicate the times for conceiving a boy (black) or a girl.

The given times are in the 24 hour format. This means that if you read a time of 13-23 on the listing, this is from 1 pm to 11 pm.

The days and times marked ** point to your PEAK fertile times.

They only indicate the moment of your PEAK FERTILITY.

The dates listed on the Overview -- on and in itself -- have nothing to do with conceiving a HEALTHY (or an unhealthy) child.

In fact, all the dates and times on the Listing point to FERTILE PERIODS, but the ones marked ** are the most important if you have difficulties in conceiving a child, because these are the periods of maximum fertility.

This DOES NOT mean that conception at these times causes ill children or miscarriages.

From the Overview alone we CANNOT tell you if you will conceive a healthy or an unhealthy child.

If you want to know the periods to only conceive an absolutely HEALTHY child we should analyze all the times and periods listed on the Overview as separate horoscopes and disregard the times when there are difficult aspects to the Moon or other personal points.

Moreover, because there is not much research done in this field it is not sure that all 'difficult' aspects are known!

Even then, you're not 100% sure to conceive an absolutely healthy child, but it can give an indication!

Till now I did not receive any report I ordered and you even seem not to answer my e-mails.

Increasingly, ISPs or internet service providers (ex., earthlink.net, comcast.net) and mail services (ex., Hotmail) are using filtering systems to try and keep spam out of customers' inboxes.

Sometimes, though, they accidentally filter the e-mail that you do want to receive.

Please do not blame your ISP or mail service.

The volume of spam is enormous and the algorithms to figure out what is spam (and what is not) are complicated.

So mistakes do happen. We all have to deal, unfortunately, with the fallout of what spammers do to the Internet.

Naturally, you want to keep spam out.

And you want to receive important CosmiTec communications -- e-mail, our Love Letter (Newsletter), orders and any other e-mail that you request (and we only EVER send e-mail that you request).

If you ordered something from us and at first sight you did not get any response, here's what to do:

  • If you did not get our automated e-mail response within 30 minutes with the birth data/information you provided, and if there was no typo in your e-mail address, your mailbox may be full.

So, check this first. Please also check your junk mailbox!

Only then, contact us via our Contact/Feedback page to point to your problem, or simply re-order the profile, overview or whatever again.

Paid reports or forecasts will be charged only once!!

In case you still get no answer, your service provider may be filtering out our e-mail/your order, by mistake.

If you sent an e-mail from your work computer make sure your employer is not blocking our e-mails too
    !

In case it's your personal computer (and not work-related), whitelist us. If you want to know how, please click here to go to our Whitelisting page.

If this doesn't help, we suggest you change for another (free) mail service (like Yahoo! or Gmail) and re-order the report/charts/overview OR contact us again.

Paid reports or forecasts will be charged only once!!

Consider complaining to your mail service, because they might withhold a very important e-mail for you without your consent.

In case you sent an e-mail from your work-computer, try another free e-mail service (we never had any problems with Yahoo! or Google's Gmail) and contact us again.

  • In case you got our automated e-mail response but did not get the order within the mentioned time span, odds are that your mail service or ISP refused our e-mail with pdf-attachments.

But please check your junk mailbox first and check if your inbox is not full!

If you sent an e-mail from your work computer make sure your employer is not blocking our e-mails with pdf-attachments too
    !

In case you sent an e-mail from your work-computer, try another free e-mail service (we never had any problems with Yahoo! or Google's Gmail) and contact us again.

Your employer may block our e-mails with a pdf-attachment so, also try from another (not work-related) computer.

Tell them you are planning to change for another (free) mail service and do change for another free e-mail service (like Yahoo! or Google's Gmail) that never gave any problems.

So, to make sure that CosmiTec mail is not deleted or filtered into a "junk" or "bulk" folder, please add the following CosmiTec domains to your list of trusted senders/your address book/contact list (in your e-mail software) and to your ISP/mail service's whitelist...

@cosmitec-astrological-compatibility-advice.com
@cosmitec-astrology-forecasts.com
@world-of-cosmitec.com

This should guarantee that you will receive whatever e-mail you need... We only EVER send e-mail that you specifically request!

It's a shame to bother you like this, but blame it on the spammers.

Your ISP or mail service is only trying to protect you.

The bottom line is that things have become so complicated in the ever-escalating war between spammers and ISPs/mail services, that you and we are accidentally caught in their cross-fire.

If you want to know how to add CosmiTec domains to the so-called "white list", click here to go to our Whitelisting page.

Why is it that the dates given on the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview not always match any dates on your paid baby gender prediction calendar.

Also, I am confused as the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview stated that the 8th June was a girl day for me.

Now on my personalized baby gender prediction calendar the 8th June is no longer mentioned but the 21st June is. Is 8th June no longer a girl day?

Could you please explain to me why these dates have changed?

The baby gender prediction calendar is totally different from the (free or paid Expanded) Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview when it comes to baby gender prediction.

The Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview is solely based on your personal Moon phase returns, marking highly fertile times. It's the same as the Jonas method.

Our own calculated baby gender prediction calendar is a blend of quite some astrological methods (the Moon phase return being just one of them).

Our own calendar only lists the days on which all methods and techniques agree about the gender without an exception.

If all methods point to the same gender for the same day, we will list this day.

If one method points to the other gender, we will NOT list this day.

This means that our own calculated baby gender prediction calendar is the most accurate (and reliable) one as far as our knowledge goes.

While the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview is reliable (especially when it comes to finding your peak fertile days), it's not infallible regarding the baby gender predictions though.

It's primarily and foremost a fertility cycle (and fertility tool) and only secondarily a baby gender prediction method.

When in the past some women pointed out that the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview brought a baby of the other gender as anticipated, we started investigating the Moon phase returns more in-depth regarding the baby gender.

Our research made it clear that there are other cycles at work, aside from the Moon phase returns.

Some women respond extremely well to the Moon phase returns when it comes to baby gender prediction, while other women respond very well to other gender prediction cycles.

Unfortunately, it's still difficult to know beforehand which woman responds best to which cycle/single method...

That's why we currently list only the most reliable days on the baby gender prediction calendar when all cycles we currently know of coincide and point to the same gender.

So, if your baby gender prediction calendar does not list a day you can find on the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview it's because there is at least one other method that points to the other gender for that day, making that we don't print this day on the calendar.

Also, it may happen that the same day is marked a boy day (or girl day) on the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview and marked a girl day (or boy day) on the baby gender prediction calendar.

If all our methods point to the opposite gender as listed on the Lunar Cycle Fertility Overview, we go for our own researched methods when it comes to baby gender prediction because we've found them to correct the Moon phase return method.

Why are the (monthly and annual) forecasts written the way they are: almost in bullets and so very concise (as if it's just a copy-paste task)?

The first thing you have to know is the way the internet works.

People seldom read large texts carefully and diligently on computer screens.

It's too tiresome (to the eyes and to the mind).

People scan, scroll and skip things when browsing to find what interests them.

If they have not found it in a second, they just quit.

Also, people nowadays not only consult the internet from their desktop (on a large monitor screen) but more and more 'on the go' with the help of mobile phones, tablets and the like.

You can't read large text blocks comfortably on a small smartphone screen.

Aside from the way people read texts on the internet, everything now has to go (super) fast and people have no time to delve into large texts to get to the essence.

People need to get the content asap, even instantly, they want to get to the core and the essence of the message asap without searching too long for it.

That's why we try to only print the essence of the astrological configurations without bells and whistles.

Also, the way the Astrodamus Annual and Daily Analyses are written (and programmed) served as a good example on how to be as concise as possible.

Astrology is a language that uses a specific grammar and vocabulary that you can use to build sentences with.

This makes for repeatable delineations depending on the active astrological configurations.

This is a good way to more scientifically test astrological predictions as well.

Our Workflow

Now to the way our forecasts are analyzed and written.

To forecast what's ahead the next year, you need at least the following 3 tools:

  • a 90° Graphic Ephemeris showing the following transiting planets and points for 12 months: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, The North Node of the Moon.

Aside from these transiting planets, you also must include the midpoint positions between these planets/points.

You can add Chiron and the mean Apogee of the Moon (Lilith) as well as other Asteroids and even the Transneptunian Points (TNPs) used in Uranian Astrology if you like.

Doing so will bring more details but you will lose oversight and it gets more difficult to delineate all the possible planetary pictures that show up accurately.

If you are a beginner, this is not recommended at all.

Instead of the 90° Graphic Ephemeris, you can also use a 45° Graphic Ephemeris, which you can find for free on the web site of Astrodienst.

A 45° Graphic Ephemeris will give yet more detail but for beginners, it's more difficult to read and find (convert) the position of the Ascendant and Sun in the 12 zodiac signs which we need to write the forecasts.

If you are a beginner, we don't recommend the 45° Graphic Ephemeris and that's why we won't delve deeper into reading the 45° Graphic Ephemeris.

Also, the 45° Graphic Ephemeris at Astrodienst does not include the transiting midpoint positions which we find are mandatory.

You will only find this feature in rather expensive astrology software.

Don't hesitate to request a free Graphic Ephemeris if you don't have such software and don't plan to buy. You can contact us via our Contact form.

  • a 30° Graphic Ephemeris of the same planets and bodies.

  • a horoscope wheel using the equal house system (each zodiac sign counts 30°), starting with Aries.

How to proceed?

The 90° Graphic Ephemeris is your primary tool on which you find all the planetary positions and midpoints for the year ahead.

The horizontal lines from 0° to 30° represent the degree areas of the Sun and/or Ascendant in Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

The horizontal lines from 30° to 60° represent the degree areas of the Sun and/or Ascendant from 0° to 30° Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.

The horizontal lines from 60° to 90° represent the degree areas of the Sun and/or Ascendant from 0° to 30° Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.

Example 1: drawing a horizontal line at 25° represents the Ascendant and/or Sun's position at 25° Aries, 25° Cancer, 25° Libra and 25° Capricorn.

Converting the Sun's position to birthdays can be done with the help of an astrological agenda, astrological calendar or ephemeris.

The Sun is at 25° Aries around April 15, the Sun is at 25° Cancer around July 17-18, the Sun is at 25° Libra around October 18 and the Sun is at 25° Capricorn around January 15.

Example 2: drawing a horizontal line at 81° represents the Ascendant and/or Sun's position at 21° Gemini, 21° Virgo, 21° Sagittraius and 21° Pisces.

Converting the Sun's position to birthdays can be done with the help of an astrological agenda, astrological calendar or ephemeris.

The Sun is at 21° Gemini around June 12, the Sun is at 21° Virgo around September 13-14, the Sun is at 21° Sagittarius around December 13 and the Sun is at 21° Pisces around March 11-12.

Whenever the horziontal line (representing the Ascendant or Sun's position) crosses a transiting planetary line (or midpoint), your Ascendant or Sun is hit by the transiting planet(s) (or planetary midpoint).

The most important and powerful crossings are the ones with the transiting midpoints!

Delineate them following the Combination of Stellar Influences (CoSI) by R. Ebertin or any other reliable midpoint reference guide.

Know that the Ascendant represents your environment and surroundings (and not the person itself).

The Sun's position represents the physical body and your creative self-expression (among others).

The 30° Graphic Ephemeris shows when planets and/or midpoints coincide at the same degree.

Such planetary overlays show the numerical degree of the Ascendant and Sun's position that will be hit by the overlays.

Combine the planetary meanings to find out what is going on.

The horoscope wheel is used to draw in the planetary positions of Jupiter till Pluto and the Moon's Node for the coming 12 months.

You can now see which (equal) house these transiting outer planets are in and which houses they rule because that's what makes it very interesting and more personal.

Note any date when an outer planet changes a sign.

Also, list the dates and degrees on which the planets station and turn retrograde.

These dates are very important, especially for the Ascendants and Sun signs which they rule because they can expect delays, frustration, withdrawal etc.

Some keywords you can use to delineate the different configurations and overlays in the horoscope wheel:

  • Jupiter: expansion, overdoing, optimism and confidence

  • Saturn: restrictions, pressure and tests, detachment

  • Uranus: independency, excitement, opposition

  • Neptune: dissolvings, confusion, uncertainty

  • Pluto: reversals, emotional turmoil, intensity

What does the Chi square mean?

It's all about statistics and it's a test that measures how a model (in this case an astrological configuration or condition) compares to actual observed data.

To do the test we need the group of horoscopes we are analyzing (for example, solar returns of the year of a marriage) and compare this set with another group of horoscopes (i.e. solar returns for another year, not for the year of marriage).

When the chi square of a certain astrological condition or pattern or configuration is low, it means that the analyzed astrological configuration is found as much or not in significant different ways in the control group.

The higher the chi square, the stronger the astrological condition may be or the more it becomes important because it's not significantly often or even not found in the other (control) group of horoscopes.

So, it increases the odds of being important and specifically related to the group of horoscopes we are investigating.

It does not prove there is a correlation or causal relationship though.

Software programs calculate the chi square and the results may differ depending on the control group that is used to compare the original data we are investigating.

Hence, it's important to compare the original data set with lots of other groups of charts to find out if the astrological condition or configuration really is significant.

If we find the astrological condition in lots of other charts that are not related to the topic we are investigating, the astrological condition is not important.

Also, the larger the sample size, the more reliable the results.

If we only have 10 charts to investigate or research, it makes no sense to use a chi square test.
